In 2011, Niagara Falls Convention Centre was constructed as a Silver Level LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) facility from the Canada Green Building Council, which means our Centre was constructed following a strict set of environmental criteria that is recognized internationally. 🌿🌊

Yesterday and Today, we hosted over 200 students from Niagara College's Hospitality & Tourism program for a tour of Niagara Falls Convention Centre. Students had the opportunity to tour our building, ask questions, and learn from our industry professionals on what it takes to manage over 200,000sq ft of flexible event space! 📘🌊

Our first Meet the Team spotlight of 2025 is one of our Event Managers, Maurice Grant! In his role, Maurice works with our clients to execute their events at our venue by coordinating the services and amenities across our various departments before, during and after their event at Niagara Falls Convention Centre.
⁠
👤: Maurice was born an hour drive down the highway from us in the City of Hamilton, and was raised in the neighbouring town of Stoney Creek. Maurice and his wife moved to the Niagara Region in 2016 to raise their family, which is why he says his favourite part of the area is the sense of community found here.
⁠
💼: Maurice started as a part-time Floor Supervisor at NFCC in 2016 and became one of our Event Managers in 2018. Prior to that, Maurice worked as the Marketing and Event Manager for Game Day Special Events with the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football league, helping to plan and organize the fan experience during Tiger Cats games.

😎: Considering his event planning experience in the sports world, it’s no wonder Maurice has several cool sports moments he can recount. He can fondly recall working along the sidelines at the inaugural Toronto FC game, sitting courtside at an NBA playoff game and working the Grand Opening of Tim Hortons Field during his time with the Tiger Cats.

😊: When asked what his favourite part of working at NFCC is, he would say the strong bond amongst our team members and our emphasis on customer service!

This is a casual, part-time position based on business needs, and NFCC
