Have you gotten the chance to check out The Minden River Cone yet? Nestled in the heart of Minden, just past the bridge on Bobcaygeon Rd, right off the river, they serve amazing hot food & delicious soft serve ice cream with great customer service! They also have a bouncy castle & playground to keep your kids busy!

I had the opportunity to try out their Chicken Burrito Bowl and it was the most amazing thing I have eaten in a long time! Highly recommend! Editing these food photos made me want to lick the screen! I was drooling!

I am so incredibly behind on editing sessions, I am so sorry to everyone who has been waiting for galleries, I will try my best to get them all done for you as soon as I can.

Unfortunately I had to make the hard decision to put down our dog Franny. I've never had to do that before and I am struggling with it harder than I thought I would be, not only for myself but for my oldest son who loved her more than anyone.

Please bear with me as I take a few days to grieve. Thank you for your understanding. 🖤

Somewhere along the line, I blinked and he grew up.

Last night we got to celebrate this young man and his grade 8 class at their graduation! Many laughs and tears were had. Congratulations class of 2024!

Note: these photos were not heavily edited, they are almost straight out of the camera. I loved that I was able to capture the natural colours without having to emphasize them.

Not only do I love documenting your families and events, I love getting out in nature and capturing the beauty in it. I am lucky enough to live in an area flooded in little moments with wildlife + nature!

I was sitting outside, taking a moment, and noticed this chipmunk going over to this one spot, then I noticed the little one in the hole! I grabbed my camera and sat there with my zoom lens (getting eaten by mosquitoes) waiting for this shot. How freaking cute?!?

Are you guys all sick of looking at all of the northern lights photos that everyone has shared over the weekend? Well sorry if you are, I wanted to share mine as well!

It was my first time seeing them in person and wow it was magical! It was like someone was painting the night sky! The way they move and change colours! Amazing!

It was so cloudy and I thought for sure I was going to miss them. It was incredible to see and my photos don't even do it justice! They aren't perfect & they came out darker than I had hoped for but I love how they turned out! Another thing has been crossed off my life + photography bucket list!

I seen my first hummingbird last Friday and I immediately got up and made them some food and got out my feeders. I have three feeders and can have anywhere between 3-6 hummingbirds at one time! I've always loved them and have been fascinated by them! I find them challenging to photograph but each year, I sit outside getting eaten by black flies and mosquitoes to try and capture them not only on my feeders but in the trees!

As much as I am much better on the other side of the camera, sometimes I get the urge to step in front of it. This morning I took advantage of the rain (although, I wish it had of been raining much harder) and had some laughs with myself!

They aren't perfect but I love how they turned out. Hopefully I didn't screw up my camera & lens. Looks like the clouds were almost like a filter helping me capture the sliver of the sun!

My oldest was pretty disappointed that I didn't have glasses, so I figured I would get out my camera and let him look at it on the screen.

Sometimes things don't always go to plan when organizing sessions. Locations don't always pan out and the weather doesn't always cooperate.

I have been meaning to get out and take my boys skating since they've opened a couple weeks ago and I figured a 'snow day' would be the perfect time!

It was quiet (which we liked because we're not the best of skaters out there). We did get to meet a couple new people while we were there. It'll be exciting to see it busy as the season continues!

Good afternoon! It's been a while! I hope that everyone has had a wonderful holiday season! It's so beautiful and snowy outside right now, such a wonderful backdrop to get some updated photos done! *wink wink, nudge nudge*

2024 is going to be my year to grow my business as a photographer!

Thank you to this beautiful mama for modelling two of my newest dresses in my client closet. I know everyone is focused on Christmas at the moment but I can't stop loving on the fall photos. 🥰🍂

These were done at the Haliburton Sculpture Forest (somewhere I had never been until this session) back in September. It was pretty interesting and made for some pretty photo ops. My favourite was the dandelion sculpture. If you haven't been, I suggest going and taking a look!

Good morning,

I'd like to talk for a moment. After the tragedy that our mixed-matched family has gone through over the past month, I have been sitting here thinking and overthinking some more. Attending the celebration of life for my son's uncle last weekend, I noticed something after someone passes away. The people who are left grieving often go looking for photos of their loved one who has passed on and although beautiful posed photos are always amazing, it's the candids and them being themselves that get people talking and reminiscing of moments caught on camera.

In honour of our families terrible loss, I want to offer something different for Christmas/holiday photos to my clients. I am offering 3 discounted sessions (message me for details) to 3 families in the Kawartha Lakes, Minden & Haliburton area. You can nominate a family or inquire for yourself.

These sessions would be geared towards you & your family. Do you have an important family tradition? Going to get a tree? Decorating your tree? Baking holiday cookies in your kitchen? Cuddling up in your jammies and sipping hot chocolate while reading a Christmas book to your kids? Do you spend the holidays up at the cottage? & anything else that might be special for you and your family. I'd like to document those real authentic moments for you, so you'll have those memories for forever!

This is a little different than my usual posts and not something I thought would happen to our family. Although I am not immediate family anymore, this has hit me hard on so many different levels.

My sons dad, lost his little big brother. My bonus parents lost their son and my son turned thirteen and on the same day he lost his uncle. A beautiful woman lost her partner. And many of his friends and family lost someone they loved.

As someone who has been very open about her struggles with mental health it is a very intense feeling seeing the aftermath of such a tragedy and just how many people this hurts.

Please please, if you are struggling, please reach out.

And to those of you who are left to mourn when something tragic like this happens, please know that (in my opinion) most times there is nothing anyone can say or do to change someones mind once they have decided.

I am so sorry, to everyone that this has effected.

Even though I decided to take the year off, I still met with a few families who had purchased Gift Certificates last Christmas.

🥰this family just so happens to be my older sons extended family. I had so much fun during this session, lots of laughs! It was great seeing them all again after so many years!

1) You can gift a session and pay the full amount.

OR

2) You can pay a denomination towards the session fee.

All sessions are $180 until the end of this year (2022). And gift certificates are only valid for a year after purchase date.
