Fun fact: Alto is an Italian term meaning high but in a choir it is the lowest female voice range.

Not an Alto? Don’t worry, there is plenty of room in our Choir on Wednesday nights for all voice types.

Stay tuned for registration details.

Congratulations to Keegan Isaac and the Itsy Bitsy Big Band on a successful fundraising concert last night.

Words cannot describe how touched I am by the tremendous support I recieved at the “My Kind of Town” Concert in Meota! This event raised $11,000 for the BUH COPS Centre, over $2,000 of which were donations at the door!!

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered and supported this concert which was a dream come true for me.
Meota will always be My Kind of Town!

The conductor, sometimes called a director or maestro, is the one who keeps us all together and we are fortunate to have two directors in our organization.

Stephen Carter our Choir Director will also be directing our Jazz Band, and we are excited to announce that Gene Aulinger is returning to the organization to direct our Concert Band, Youth Band and our Daylight Players.

The Tuba is the band's lowest-sounding instrument and helps lay a foundation of sound for the ensemble to build upon.

Fun Fact: If you stretch out the tubing of a Bb Tuba it would be about 5.5 m long. The gold medal-winning long jumps at this year's Olympics were 7.1 m for the women and 8.4 m for the men. Can you out-jump a Tuba?

Stay tuned for registration details for both our Choir and Bands.
