I’m a little late posting this (crazy work day that started in the dark and ended in the dark), but I wanted to say how honoured and proud I was last night to receive this award!!
I am definitely a behind the scene kind of gal and not at all comfortable speaking in front of a large crowd on a stage!! I wish I was, but that being said, this is what I wish I had said last night if I wasn’t stumbling over words as the color drained from my face!!

I’m just glad I didn’t fall on the stairs!

First of all, it means the world to me to be nominated. I feel like the luckiest person in the world having grown up with the family I had, I was taught from a very young age… a strong work ethic , the importance of camaraderie among businesses like your own, put your whole heart into whatever you do….. and carrying buckets of topsoil to the sterilizer in the greenhouse will get you a crisp five dollar bill!!!
Anyone who runs a business would agree how humbling it is when your recognized for your hard work, early mornings and all nighters, time away from family in order to build something for your family and the love you have for your craft.

This isn’t just me, this is 4 generations of people who have learned and taught and have been through the wringer and seen some amazing things and who were able to pass this knowledge along….. I will do my best to make them all proud!

Thank you so much to the for making the everyday folk feel extraordinary

We are about to post all the holiday items and holiday workshops and all the fun things! Before final decisions are made I’m looking for your input!! If there is something special in the way of a workshop/class or items in the shop I would love to know! Please comment what you want to see the most ❤️

We are only a couple of weeks away from our pumpkin carving contest! We are almost sold out of tickets, so grab your before they are gone. Here’s a couple of details you may want to know….

A portion of every ticket sale goes directly to Teal to Heal

One pumpkin per person. If you would like
Another pumpkin to incorporate into your design we will have some available for purchase.
As far as decorating, the sky is the limit. We will have some carving kits available for use., but your encouraged to bring your own. If you wanted anything else like paint, sparkles, etc you would have to supply your own. There will be prizes for best pumpkin, most creative pumpkin and scariest pumpkin!
Prize will be $100 Visa Gift Card, a Boo Basket and a Gift Certificate from Trinity Florals and Not Just Cakes

We can’t wait to share our incredible judging panel!
The bar will be open in the Cape Breton Royal Room and there will be light snacks.
We can’t wait for this event, it’s been a few years in the making!
