We have a few hosts who are stepping back this year and if we want to be able to offer these fun event we require someone to take the lead. Edited: This Foothills fella was reunited with his family! Thanks to all who shared.

This fella was picked up by a resident on Dunbow road south of Calgary on January 8 and has been taken to Fish Creek Pet Hospital. If anyone knows where he belongs please contact them or share this post.

De Wintonites, please remember to protect your pets and other animals from sound distress this evening. There will be fireworks within the hamlet proper, and likely around the area. Secure your pets, turn on some music, and try to be kind to your neighbors who are just hoping to have some celebratory fun tonight.

For those of you setting of fireworks remember that it is mandatory to have a permit to discharge fireworks and it is neighborly to let others know if possible.

Almost finished! The DCA and St. Andrew's United Church have collaborated to create a new community bulletin board so folks can see what is going on at the two facilities. With help with labor and supplies from Rod Curzon and Jim Vangilst it went into the ground this week near the grader shed on Old Macleod. The board itself is still to come but so far it looks amazing! Thanks also to Integrity Building Supplies for great pricing on the lumber to build it.

Ring in 2025 with the first DCA social of the year, January 3. Learn to dance the Cha Cha, then enjoy some snacks with friends and practice on the dance floor for the rest of the evening.
