T’was the night before menu launch, and all through the kitchen, the amazing smells of big honkin’ sammies, OMG they look bitchin’ .. hahaha 🤷🏼‍♂️

We said we had some news for you... 🎤

Taphouse Craft Beer + Kitchen has contracted us out to run their kitchen, which means you can come in and eat Leigh's menu creations anytime while enjoying some Taphouse brews!

We've been working hard to create a menu that says "Alchemy" when you read it and "Alchemy" when you eat it because most of us know, Leigh can't keep food basic.

We've always been about introducing our customers to food, meals and ingredients they've never had before and we are hoping to bring new flavours and enormous messy sandwiches to town.

✨Menu launches Wednesday October 6th and we are SO excited for you to try it out!

Alchemy Kitchen & Taphouse Brewing Co. are a tag team in the heart of Downtown Orangeville; Alchemy provides a fresh take on worldly inspired dishes, and Taphouse brings fresh local beers, wines, ciders & cocktails to create a truly different experience to the culinary landscape of Dufferin County. Half our year is focused on unique food experiences, in our two level of dining rooms, and the other half focuses on events, markets, catering and live music in the parking lot.

Job description

We are looking for professional Station Chefs to amaze the guests of our establishment with excellent cooking according to Chef Leigh’s recipes and specifications. Your work will be an important factor to a guest’s contentment. The ultimate goal is to expand our clientele and reputation to ensure long-term success.

Responsibilities

Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues
Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.)
Follow the guidance of Chef Leigh and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes
Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
Requirements

3-5 years Line Cook or Station Chef experience
Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Knowledge of best cooking practices
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $35,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
All guests and staff are required to wear masks inside the building unless seated and 6 feet away from other groups, regular sanitization of frequently used area, hand sanitizer is available at all work stations and bathrooms

We will be taking a break for the rest of August & we will be returning September 1st.

We know we’ve been a little MIA lately and we truly apologize. If we’re being honest, we’ve just been busy 🐝 (although we LOVE busy, and busy is good) as a two man team, we just haven’t been able to keep up. We promise we have some exciting new things and news to share with you in the coming weeks - stay tuned❗️

We will be taking the next few weeks to revamp our website, our business plan, focus on how we plan to build Alchemy for the future, along with some much needed vacation time together ⛺️
