Indoor plant season commence so decided to try my guys a dose of from the homie Jocelyn!

She and her team run a worm compost farm in the area, they take all the food scraps (hopefully not much food left on the plates 😫😅) from food truck and let the worms do their thing- containers, cutlery and all!

Worm manure the goes onto farm soil & the gardens, into the quality hops, into the .beer brewing process, turns into busy food truck & back into the compost again.
Pretty freakin’ cool!!

Thanks Phil, Gail and Jocelyn for teaching me the importance and including me in the supply chain.

She also retails some 700g bags onsite at the farm stands. Everyone, get a bag of soil booster!

Thanks to our fearless leader Gail for allowing us to indulge on some of the home grown goodies & to Amanda for beautifying the backdrop we all love! Big up our neighbors with the veg offerings.

Let me tell you truly, farm, field & flower work ain’t no joke! I was in the bush for an hour max & sweat thru my shirt, 7 mosquito bites & a bee sting! Yes, we do our part as food partner- but HUGE shoutout to the folk working the grounds to keep the GoodLot looking how you say… effervescent!

Had the joy meeting the one and only Oliver Samuels aka Olivius Adams aka the Jamaican ‘King of Comedy’!
As a boy, I marveled at his whit and charisma as he navigated various exploits with trusty brethren ‘Maffie’ (Volier Johnson).

Observed the entire film crew work magic as they crafted scene and sets! There’s so many moving pieces! Thanks for trusting us with the lunch offerings for your crew. I enjoyed the peep into your industry & and to meet my hero!

Perry is a musician, singer and songwriter. He opened Aardvark Music and Culture as a way to give back to the community and to encourage music education. Aardvark is a music school and store with a full selection of musical instruments and new and used vinyl records.

When asked why he loves Orangeville, Perry said, “We have incredible customers and a caring community. Aardvark is open to serve the community and the community returns with support.”

Met this brother Chef Nick in the year of our Lord 2014 at a chef cook-off. It was a fundraiser event for a dear-to-me community group so I was showing out my best stuff. For every silver medal I was proud of, he bested me with the gold medal; Not to mention he was the main entertainment as he’s an excellent magician AKA TricNic 🎩 - He put us all on notice.
Been a treat to watch him grow & advance his product line & catering business. Battle thru permits, and the municipal rigmarole & now open his own Jerk Center!

I pulled up for lunch, got a tour of the spot & wished him well. It’s located in the Hurontario & Fisherman Dr. area In Brampton!

He’s is one skinny chef I would trust! 😝 Blessings good brother!

What is Jamaican Sorrel you ask?

Well firstly, don’t confuse it with the leafy spring green, as you may, when you first hear of this drink. They share the same name but are quite different indeed.

Jamaican sorrel is what many of us know as Hibiscus (roselle) blossoms, which is steeped to make a refreshing, floral, beautifully dark red drink with a captivating tang.

Come holiday time, in the Caribbean, this mixture is stirred up with fragrant spices like ginger, allspice, orange peel and clove along with a bit of simple syrup to form a holiday punch that both looks and tastes like the season.

Across the Caribbean, all locals are pulling out their pitchers and punch bowls to make the holiday beverage!
