Zinnias join the club!

If someone asks about the easiest flower to grow from seeds, the answer would be zinnias! They are quick to germinate and grow. They don't need any fertilizer and extra watering. They thrive in heat. Zinnias are cut and come again flowers, so they bloom until the first frost which is usually mid October in Ottawa.

Today I planted 30 dahlias.

These flowers don't have fragrance, they don't last more than 5 days in a vase, they are finicky to grow and take care of... BUT look at this symmetry! They make my jaw drop every time I see them in person.

They start blooming at the end of July - at the beginning of August and bloom until the first frost (usually mid October). They grow into massive bushes of 3'-4' height. The more you cut the more they bloom.

Tubers of these varieties are available. 5$ each.
Pick up in Bridlewood.

Hi everyone! Let me introduce myself. I'm Mahri. Mother of two. I studied teacher training in my home country long ago and now I'm studying accounting. Nothing related to flowers lol.

I started my first cut flower garden three years ago just because I love flowers and making bouquets. It became my hobby and brought so much joy. And I decided to share this beauty with other wonderful people of our community.

I called my small business Jennet Blooms because Jennet is my daughter's name which means 'Paradise' in Turkmen language. That's the story!

First Cosmos of the year. I love them because they can move and dance in a bouquet. They are dreamy!

Do you know you can still grow them from seeds? They are one of the easiest flowers which can be direct sown straight in the ground.
