It's happening! Bite Nite is tomorrow!
Are you wondering what you need to bring with you tomorrow night? Here's your checklist:
•Your e-ticket (if you lose it, don't panic because we have alternative ways of checking you in)
•Your phone - to capture those unforgettable moments
•Your appetite - for all the incredible food you can sink your fangs into
•Your debit/credit card - to pay for the bloody cocktails at the "cashless" bar
•A mask (this is not mandatory, but it is encouraged to wear while not eating/drinking if you are able to)
•A change of shoes - because we're all out of practice wearing our fab-boo-lous shoes and there's no shame in changing into something more comfy

Ben Dover has been doing Drag for three years, and loves the opportunity to reinvent himself every time he performs. He is known for winning Mr. Capital Pride 2020-2021 and is now reigning Mr. Gananoque 1000 Islands Pride 2021-2022.

FAQ!

What exactly is Bite Nite?
Bite Nite is a charity event hosted by Algonquin College Event Management students to raise money for Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre. We've been working hard to put together a Dracula-themed social event where guests get to mingle, have tasty food and bevvies, while enjoying the various entertainment elements we have programmed. It's taking place Thursday, July 21st from 6pm-9pm at Head Office in Kanata.

Is dinner included?
Yes! Dinner and dessert will be available throughout the evening. There will be food stations with sandwiches, charcuterie, cheeses, fruits, veggies, and dessert of course!

What do I wear?
Semi-formal, dark colours. No, you don't have to wear a costume, although it would be a hoot if you did!

Are masks required?
No, masks won't be required. We do, however, encourage guests to wear a mask while not eating/drinking if they are able. (This is subject to change, depending on local mandates and laws at the time of the event.)

Where do I park?
Parking is free in the shopping plaza at Head Office in Kanata.

What do I have to spend money on?
Your ticket covers the cost of admission, all entertainment, and all food for the evening. There are additional fees for partaking in drinks at the bar and participating in the silent auction.

How do I get my silent auction item if I win?
Silent auction winners will be announced at the end of the evening of Bite Nite and guests will pick up their items before leaving. Please plan to pay for items with e-transfer (this is preferred) or cash (if you cannot e-transfer). No debit/credit will be accepted for the silent auction.

How long will tickets be on sale for?

Are there age restrictions?
No, there are no age restrictions. Please use your own discretion if you are attending with a youth as there may be mature themes, course language, and alcohol (19+ ID required to purchase) present at the event.

A shout out to another amazing Bite Nite partner: Henna hands by Kinjal !
makes beautiful henna art with all natural ingredients. They have great reviews from clients and their designs are a huge hit for weddings, community events, and private events/appointments. They're from Peterborough, but they make trips to the Ottawa area sometimes and will be at Bite Nite!
They will also be in Kemptville for Canada Day, so go visit at their booth tomorrow if you're in the area!

Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre is a local organization who help youth (13-21) in the Ottawa and surrounding areas overcome addiction and mental illness. They have been working in the community to offer live-in care, after-care treatment, and family support since 1993.

Our first feature is an original, one of a kind painting by Swamp Doll Studio and it was custom-made just for this event! Liz is an artist based in Spencerville and uses various mediums for her creations, but her unique paintings are definitely a fan-favourite!
