Everyone’s wedding budget is going to be different, and that’s okay! But if I had a penny for everytime a couple came to me with Pinterest boards and online videos of other people’s weddings (usually influencers and celebrities) I’d be 💰 rich rich 💰 (like the people in the videos you’re sending me 😉)
1️⃣ Step One: Figure out where the money for your wedding day is coming from. Are you paying for everything? Do you have help from family? A little bit of both? It’s important to get this conversation started as soon as your wedding planning journey begins to avoid any future disappointment when you start seeing wedding industry pricing and quotes.
2️⃣ Step Two: GUEST LIST. The single largest factor of your budget is going to be your guest list. Less people? Less money. Sit down and start writing a guest list and who you really feel should be apart of your big day. That one coworker you worked with 5 years ago? Maybe cut them from the list. People you haven’t talked to in over a year? Have a think and see if they really need to be there. Be so strategic with this list, it’s your big day and don’t spend it with people that you absolutely don’t want to 🤷♀️. Although This can become a daunting task with factors like cultural weddings, parent input, etc… hire a wedding planner to help mitigate this and give you guidance!
3️⃣ Step Three: Make a list of things that are REALLY important to you for your wedding day, and things that would be a nice to have, but not a necessity. Eg: I have a bride who REALLY wanted a tent for her wedding day, so we factored that into her budget, and only looked at venues that offered sail cloth tents. At the end of the day, (unless you have the means for no budget) you won’t get every last thing you want and you’ll want

I totally get it! It’s an additional cost, and one that you think isn’t necessary! But think of a day-of coordinator as your wedding day superhero.
