We can only guarantee dinner with reservations received before Noon, on Thursday forthcoming the event.
We will stop registering orders before the order deadline when their volume reach the capacity of the kitchen staff. Thank you for your understanding.
We prepackage all portions in takeout containers, please do not bring your own. Successful online reservations are confirmed by e-mail. Payments can be made electronically by e-Transfer sent to the e-mail address address, in which case we kindly ask you to add the message: “takeout dinner” and the date displayed below.

A rendeléseket lezárjuk már a határidő lejárta előtt, ha mennyiségük eléri a konyha teljesítőképességének határát. Köszönjük megértésüket!
Az étel előre csomagoltan kerül kiadásra, kérjük ne hozzanak ételhordót otthonról. A honlapon sikeresen beküldött foglalásokat villanyposta üzenet nyugtázza. Ha az ételért a villanyposta cím címre küldött elektronikus átutalással (e-Transfer) fizetnek, kérjük írják be a „Message” mezőbe: „péntek elvitelre” és az alább olvasható dátumot.

The very first Hungarian Family Day is happening soon!

Program of the day:
10:00: opening
11:00-13:00: live Hungarian folk music
11:30 - official opening ceremony with special guests
13:00: fun trivia competition
14:00: closing

Kids activities (obstacle course, face painting, photo booth, etc.) are waiting for the little ones for the duration of the event!

Az ottawai magyar közösség mai otthonát 1979-ben építették. A 279 m2 (3000 négyzetláb) alapterületű betontégla épület eredetileg raktárnak készült és egy 30,5 m × 53,3 m (100 láb × 175 láb) nagyságú telken fekszik. Az épület egy része már akkoriban két szintes volt, melyben a felső szinten irodák voltak berendezve. Mindezt 1981-ben vásárolta meg a magyar közösség, és alakította át egy év leforgása alatt a mai kinézetére. Hirdetési ára 1981-ben 99.000$ volt.

Június 30-án, vacsorával (rántott sertésszelet + bécsi krumplisaláta + sütemény helyben vagy ha szükséges elvitelre is) tervezünk megemlékezni a Magyar Ház megnyitásának 42. évfordulójáról. Azt kérjük a tagságtól és a támogatóktól, hogy akinek valamilyen a Házzal kapcsolatos emléktárgy van a birtokában és azt kölcsönözné, vagy adományozná a Háznak, nagyon megköszönnénk. Az emléktárgy része lenne annak a kiállításnak amit tervezünk az évforduló alkalmából. Segítségüket előre is köszönjük!

The home of the Hungarian community in Ottawa was built in 1979. The 279 m2 (3000 sq.ft.) building was raised on a 30,5 m × 53,3 m (100 ft × 175 ft) size land. It was made of concrete bricks, and originally it was used for storage. The first floor was part of the original design right from the beginning, and it was used for offices. In 1981, the entire property was listed at $99,000 when it was bought by the Hungarian community. The founding members transformed it into its present day shape within a year.

On June 30, we are commemorating the 42nd anniversary of the opening of the Magyar Ház with a dinner (Wiener schnitzel + Viennese potato salad + cake on site or, if necessary, to take away). We would like to ask the membership and supporters that anyone who has any memorabilia related to the House in their possession and would like to lend it or donate it to the House, we would be very grateful. The souvenir would be part of the exhibition we are planning for the anniversary. Thank you in advance for your help!
