In September 2013, when Irish solo artist Andrew Hozier-Byrne released his debut single – a song called “Take Me To Church” – which he had mostly recorded in the attic of his parent’s house in Wicklow (his father a blues musician, his mother an artist), little did he know about the hurricane-strength surge in public interest that the song would spark, carrying him to international stardom. A full ten years and billions of streams later, Hozier still calls Wicklow home. While his music takes him all over the world, it is Ireland and its people and places, the weather and landscape; where a stream is still something that runs down at the bottom of the garden, that calls him back to where he feels he naturally belongs.
The last decade has brought both public and critical acclaim. Multi-Platinum album sales, an RIAA-certified Diamond single, number one records on both sides of the Atlantic, multiple awards including a GRAMMY-nomination, film and video game soundtracks and countless sold-out live shows all over the world. But as Hozier prepares to release his third album – ‘Unreal Unearth’ – his passion for his art is undimmed, and his curiosity about our world – and all that is good and bad about it – remains undiminished.

After amassing over 4+ Billion global streams, 60+ international certifications, countless sold-out headlining shows, appearances at such noteworthy festivals as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo plus a direct support slot opening for Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, the Rolling Stones, GRAMMY nominated, Icelandic rockers, KALEO, has proven to be a worldwide phenomenon. Known for their electrifying live performances alongside frontman JJ Julius Son’s towering, blues-soaked vocals, KALEO toured nonstop for 3 years in support of their debut album, A/B, which has since gone platinum and spawned the megahit “Way Down We Go.” On the heels of sophomore release, Surface Sounds, the band embarked on their Fight or Flight World Tour coming out of Covid. 2022 saw them perform 97 times in 92 different cities across 22 countries, selling over one quarter of a million tickets globally. With a discography that includes such seminal rock albums as 1994’s 6x platinum-selling SIXTEEN STONE, ‘96’s triple-platinum-selling RAZORBLADE SUITCASE and ‘99’s platinum-selling THE SCIENCE OF THINGS, BUSH has sold over 20 million records in the U.S. and Canada alone. They’ve also compiled an amazing string of 23 consecutive Top 40 hit singles on the Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts. Eleven of those hit the Top 5, six of which shot to No. 1: “Comedown,” “Glycerine,” “Machinehead,” “Swallowed,” “The Chemicals Between Us” and “The Sound of Winter.” The latter made rock radio history as the first self-released song ever to hit No. 1 at Alternative Radio, where it spent 6 weeks perched atop the chart’s top spot. Hailed by The Globe and Mail as “the right kind of band for this decade,” Arkells are widely considered one of the most passionate, exuberant and in-demand live bands working today. As radio mainstays, sports-sync shoe-ins and curious students of culture, Arkells have remained ever present–building awareness and personal community experiences around their live shows and new music at every turn. The most emblematic example of this being “The Rally,” Arkells’ beloved hometown concert event that was hailed as one of the biggest headline shows in the country, with record breaking attendance. The band tour relentlessly and have sold-out Scotiabank Arena and Budweiser Stage multiple times. Arkells continue to unleash new music and international tour dates in support of their BLINK ONCE & BLINK TWICE acclaimed companion albums: featuring collaborations with everyone from Tegan and Sara to K.Flay, Cold War Kids to Aly & AJ and Wesley Schultz of The Lumineers. Within the festival, Aberdeen Pavilion offers a wide variety of musical acts, artisan and craft vendors, and much more. The BSOMA KidZone offers special children’s and family performances on Saturday & Sunday.
