Because right now, over 1,700 Canadian children are diagnosed with cancer every year... and 4 children die every week.

Don't throw out those old worn out jeans. They can be reused... to make skirts, purses, pouches, backpacks, shopping bags, hats, and many other useful things.
If you're sooo over the ripped jeans look, those rips and holes can be back-filled with fabric and/or lace.
Fed up with skinny jeans? With some creative additions they can be made into comfy straight leg jeans.

Sorry about the looong absence. As you may know I got pulled into a last minute Costume Designer job on the Paper Moon production of Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street back in September. That took me away from everything else in order to get 4 months work done in 3 weeks. Did it. Got a few great reviews and accolades from the cast, crew and producers. Stayed with the show through to the final night and through the following week.
In early October I had my 6 months assessment on my Right total knee arthroplasty (RTKA) and was offered a date for my left knee (LTKA) but had to turn it down because is was in the middle of the show's 10 day run. Then a week later I was given Nov 18. I had to scramble to finish up multiple jobs and prep for surgery.
Well now, 22 days later, my recovery is coming along fast. And I'm ready to get back to work.
First up is a project that I want completed before Christmas... and it's a biggy. When it's done I'll reopen the studio to get back into the swing of things full time in January. I look forward to seeing many of you in 2024.

It's been a very long time since my last post. And I apologize.
I had knee replacement surgery in April. The initial recovery from surgery was great. The knee is useful, still working on strengthening and balance, following all the surgeon's instructions and keeping up the PT's exercises. But a couple of glitches are slowing me down. As a result, I can't get much accomplished each day. It's... 1hr activity, followed by 3hrs rest.
It's going to be awhile longer before I get back to work.
