In a news release sent Tuesday, organizers said they plan to “maintain JPR’s operations, albeit in a scaled-down format” as they restructure the event.

Chris Candy is getting ready for his trip to Ottawa to present the 2023 Candy Awards to two amazing comedians - Robin Duke and Big Daddy Tazz!
Robin Duke, who portrays Wendy Kurtz on Schitt's Creek, may be best known for her work on the television comedy series SCTV and, later, Saturday Night Live, as well as a number of films.
Big Daddy Tazz has been delighting Canadians for nearly 20 years at events, festivals and on television. Known as the Bi-Polar Buddah, Tazz is an active philanthropist and fundraiser.
The Crackup Ottawa and Candy Awards is coming to Algonquin Commons Theatre on March 25th. It will be a night full of laughter with performances by Kyle Brownrigg, Lisa Baker, Derek Seguin, David Brennan, Fiona O'Brien, and Big Daddy Tazz himself!
