I would like to take this time to properly introduce myself.

I am the face behind Vanessa Parkes Events, and I am committed to providing you with exceptional event planning and coordination services. I am a neurodivergent creative perfectionist, who takes pride in my skills as a natural-born leader and entrepreneur. I have self-possessed expertise in various fields, including photography, graphic design, business management, horticulture, IT, accounting, and more. I believe that my diverse skillset and passion for creating authentic moments explicitly tailored to each of my clients will help me achieve great success in all my endeavours.

As a farmer's granddaughter, an animal advocate and proud owner of an exotic animal rescue, I possess a deep connection with nature that makes me an ethereal being. My passion for all things vintage and my can-do attitude enable me to create an atmosphere of comfort akin to a family environment. Look no further if you're seeking someone with a genuine love for her clients and a strong sense of responsibility. I am the one you've been searching for.

I have enjoyed planning numerous events for clients, friends, and family. These events have ranged from birthdays, fundraisers, photography sessions to weddings to gender reveals and more. I am driven by my personal experiences as a minority and member of the LGBTQ+ community to ensure that every couple I work with feels heard, seen and included, no matter their background or preferences. My ultimate goal is to create a space where clients from all walks of life, including diverse orientations, religions, gender identities, abilities, and traditions, feel respected and valued.

Although I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, and still reside here, I embrace all opportunities to travel anywhere my assistance is desired as a Jamaican-Canadian. I look forward to serving you, wherever, whenever, for whatever the task. I will be by your side every step, assisting with everything from adjusting your table settings to ensuring that you stay hydrated to capturing the extra photos your photographer missed or could not capture. Your special event celebrating this momentous occasion will be perfect, and I am honoured to be a part of it.
