The West Indiam Orchid was once named as the National Flower of the Caribbean

And my goodness did Tanty’s Garden ever did bloom at this year's Caribbean Heritage Month Opening Ceremony. Our Youth did an amazing and fantastic job yesterday.

Junior Carnival masqueraders are for children between ages of 5 and 16 years.

The Bamboo is a symbol of strength, good fortune and surrounds you with positive energy.

✨️✨️✨️Fun Fact ✨️✨️✨️
In Caribbean culture at the open of cultural celebrations like Creole Heritage Month, Divali and Christmas one can hear the thunderous sounds made by the bursting of Bamboo. This sound marks the opening of celebrations and as a means of spiritual cleansing.

Junior Carnival Registration is open to all children/ youth between ages 5 and 16. More details on Registration to follow.

Get ready for a soulful jam! We can’t wait to spread some positive vibes at 837 Chemin Des Erables, Alcove QC this Saturday for the Thanksgiving weekend!

Bring your own beverages, potluck dishes, and musical instruments and join us for a day of live music, games, and a bonfire.

I made sure to stop by my friend’s booth, Sha Nelle, to pick up some of my favourite items:
