Advocating for Change on Pink Thursday

Today, we stand united with others in the fight to end bullying. As a community advocate, I believe we must work together to raise awareness of the devastating impact of bullying, harassment, and violence.

By fostering kindness, inclusivity, and respect, we can create a more peaceful and loving world where everyone feels safe and valued. Let’s use our voices, platforms, and actions to make a difference.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT this Pink Thursday! ✊🏽

We are proud to be one of the partners for this creative initiative by our friends over at

The Carnival theme, “Tanty’s Garden,” at the Ottawa Junior Carnival on Sunday, August 2025, beautifully captures the essence of carnival and brings storytelling to life—perfect for children.

As a creative individual, initiatives like this truly capture my attention. Even more so when the project involves youth, as it aligns with my passion for providing young minds with a safe space to explore, embrace, and celebrate our rich culture. It’s vital for children to have these opportunities where they can connect with their heritage, express themselves, and build lasting memories that shape their identity in a positive and empowering way.

A creative adventure awaits in 2025, and we stand in solidarity with the West Indian Youth Association of Ottawa! Be sure to register the young ones early to avoid disappointments!

Pink Shirt Day is here!

Let’s take a stand—reject bullying and embrace kindness. Whether it’s in school, at home, online, in the community, or at work, bullying has no place in our world.

Together, we can create a culture where respect, empathy, and compassion are the foundation of everything we do. Keep the conversation alive—let’s celebrate our differences, show care for each other, and build a future where everyone belongs.

This is more than just one day—it’s a commitment to solidarity and compassion, every single day.

This Wednesday, February 26, is Pink Shirt Day—a chance for us to unite against bullying and champion kindness, solidarity, and inclusion. It’s a global movement that started with a simple act of solidarity, and at BrandingbyWeekes, we’re proud to support a community where respect and safety are at the forefront.

We’re also celebrating Pink 4 Thursday—wear a pink shirt or any pink item this Wednesday and Thursday to show your support. Let’s take this time to reflect on how small actions can build a more positive, inclusive environment for all.

Together, we create change. Thank you for being part of this journey.

A Culinary Delight at Grenadine House – Where Local Meets International…

If you’re seeking an inclusive, flavourful meal that masterfully blends locally grown ingredients with the finest international touches, look no further than Grenadine House in Kingstown Park, St. Vincent and the Grenadines!

From the warm, welcoming staff to the breathtaking views and cozy ambiance, Grenadine House sets the perfect stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

I had the pleasure of indulging in their Valentine’s Day Special Lunch Menu, and it was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The menu featured a harmonious mix of local and international flavours, thoughtfully prepared to create a delightful fusion of tastes and textures.

My Takeaway – A Celebration of Culinary Creativity

Among the standout dishes for me were:
   •   Sorrel & Pumpkin Soup with Pumpkin Bread
   •   Green Banana & Corn Salad – a refreshing and wholesome dish, highlighting the natural goodness of the Caribbean.
   •   Cheesy Provision Pie – a comforting, indulgent creation that showcased the versatility of local provisions with an irresistible cheesy twist.
   •   Sensual Sorrel Panna Cotta – like a Jello fusion

Leadership That Elevates the Experience..

This outstanding culinary experience is a testament to the exceptional leadership of Isola Giddings and her team. Their dedication, creativity, and passion for excellence shine through in every aspect of the dining experience—from the artful presentation of dishes to the impeccable service.

A heartfelt salute to Isola Giddings and her team for their sterling service and commitment to elevating Vincentian cuisine with a global touch.

For those who appreciate a perfect blend of local authenticity and international sophistication, Grenadine House is a must-visit destination.

with innovation and elegance!

Fashion is art and conversation woven into every thread. Whenever I’m home, I make it a point to support the local fashion industry, and today, I’m striking a pose in a stunning piece from Fashion is Payne, designed by the talented, creative, and truly inspiring Jeremy Payne.

Each design tells a powerful story. And let’s not forget—Jeremy is Garifuna, one of our proud Indigenous roots. Oh, and yes—this piece has pockets! Style meets function.

Let’s continue to shop local and support our community. There’s a piece from these amazing brands waiting just for you.

Every visit to my homeland is incomplete without a visit to St. Joseph’s Convent Kingstown, my beloved Alma Mater. It’s more than just a tradition; it’s a commitment to give back to the institution that played such a pivotal role in shaping my childhood and my journey. As a proud past student, I believe in the power of investing in the future — nurturing the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and change-makers. It is my honour to contribute to their growth, just as this school contributed to mine.
