Let me re introduce myself!!
I’m Brent McLaughlin and I’m an event planner and wedding officiant and owner and operator of our micro wedding venue!
…but as my wife says…a man with “a lot of interests” and in her words “talents”.
I love my family. I love animals. I love music. I’m an athlete and love hockey, golf, pickle ball, baseball, s***t shooting, running, hiking, skiing…pretty much any sport!
I am a movie addict, passionate about a few cult classics (yes…Princess Bride…I have seen over 50 times) Top Gun…I have my private pilot license and can’t get enough of the rush of flying, motorcycles, fishing (although my wife wins that category)…and
love living life to its fullest!
Music is a passion and has been since I first picked up a guitar at age 3.
Fishing…any chance I get.
When I’m not at work the odds are I’m into a project building or renovating.
Surround me in nature and with those I love most and I’m the luckiest man.
My motto “we are guests on this planet for a short time. Kindness is a necessity for humanity to thrive and survive”!!

Love is full of surprises and can move in “mysterious ways”!
Life and love. Mysterious, beautiful and often truly amazing when paths cross as they did with this beautiful couple 24 years ago…then, young and in love, but different visions of their futures and so they bid farewell and carried on with life in different directions.
Then….years later…pure serendipity!!
What does serendipity mean in love?
In the case of C and J…they reconnected thanks to the universe and unique circumstances…love, serendipity and perfect timing and the romance was real again!
A love story that had everyone around in awe and joy for this couple!
Life is beautiful! Love is the most precious thing we can ever be so lucky to find…and they did…AGAIN!!
What a special gift. This union of family and kids and friends was truly something special.
Congrats to C and J and here are a few pictures we captured!

“A small ceremony took a lot of our stress away…Now we can budget more toward our honeymoon, a house down payment and more”.
Yes, we hear this over and over again at our micro wedding venue with packages up to 45 people! It’s a recurring theme…less stress, still so beautiful, intimate gathering of close family and friends!

While the wedding industry remains a booming billion-dollar business, the landscape has also shifted in recent years, with a rise in small-scale or micro weddings of a few dozen people or less. Pandemic restrictions and soaring inflation have forced couples to rethink their guest lists and expenses, with tight-knit ceremonies at small but beautiful venues like ours…a popular choice driven by affordability and a generational shift in values.

“People aren’t afraid to not invite people anymore,” said Holly Perrier, a certified wedding planner for Perrier Planning Inc. “Millennials? Their priorities are different. They’re choosing quality food, wine and experiences instead of bulk options to accommodate 200 people.”

COVID-19 restrictions that didn’t allow more than half a dozen guests at a ceremony also helped remove some of the “taboo” involved with a limited guest list.
It’s a great option to “have your little cake and eat it too without breaking the bank”!
