Trees were planted along Memorial Avenue up to the frontage of the school building and remain to this day a beautiful boulevard leading to the Arts Centre. The school closed in 1976 and the Oceanside Community Arts Council took ownership in 198

6, continuing the tradition of education and arts through the School for Creative Arts. Galleries, gift shop and studios celebrate and support local artists work. The Makerspace organization and the Metal Arts Guild share the lower level of the MAC.

Filled with constant dread? Get to the garden, meet some neighbours, and grow some food instead. We’re having a volunteer worker bee this Wednesday for some winter garden cleanup and soil building fun. We might even start some seeds. 11-3 pm Bring leaves, mulch, seaweed, etc to help us build the health of our soil.
