📣 The 77th Annual Winterama planning has begun! Be a part of history, and help make the 77th Annual Button Design. ❄

📆 The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, November 12, 2024. To encourage creativity, this year we only require the buttons to have the following information:
1. 77th Winterama
2. Penetanguishene

Rules:
- You must own the rights to any photographs used in your design.
- Designs can be created in any format but must be submitted as an image file.
- The year does not need to be included in the submission, but it will be added if selected.

Note: If you choose to include more text, please consider including both English and French. Completed designs and any questions can be sent to [email protected]

Please join us on Monday, February 19th at Discovery Harbour's Mid-Winter Social with special guests from the Georgian Bay Métis Community (region 7) who will have a snow snake game for all to try their hand at, as well as a drumming session, live on the outdoor stage at 12noon!

1956 - Winter Carnival, Waubaushene twins Kay & Elaine Munday pull a (staged) twelve pound Northern Pike from Penetang Harbour. The girls are dressed in their Penetang Winter Carnival costumes and admission badges.

1956 - A small part of the large crowd, either fishing or watching the fishermen, at Saturday afternoon’s Winter Carnival in Penetang. More than 5,000 persons “bobbed” for two hours each with their eye on the boat and motor prize. The event was so popular that some were turned away when all the available fishing lines were sold.

If you have a creative side and would like to participate, submissions are due on Monday, November 13th, 2023.

The Cardboard Toboggan Races were a hit this past weekend with 50 teams entering the competition!

North Simcoe Rotaract presented the pictured winners with gift cards to local businesses, courtesy of the sponsorship by Tencorr Packaging inc.
