Patience and Dedication is the tittle of my business story.

I didn't start my business to make loads of money, but to have a good long lasting occupation and provide service to generations of brides. My first brides are bringing their granddaughters to buy wedding gowns. I always enjoyed meeting people from Penticton and area, and getting to know so many nice families. Started my business in 1984 and still going strong. Even though I work less hours, I still end up quite busy in the wedding season. I added my own jewelry line, mostly earrings to my already large and varied stock of gowns. They are to be given as a gift with a purchase of a gown. You can purchase the earrings even if you are not buying a gown. Lot of the earring styles can have a matching necklace made. I own the building that my business is in, so I am able to compete with much larger stores in Kelowna. I am also a fully qualified seamstress and take care of all fittings, most of the time free of charge. All in all, I have enjoyed having my business for 36 years, and hope to work for a few more years. All along doing my business I went back to university at UBCO in Kelowna to do a BA degree. I was 49 at the time, and went to lectures on part time base, for 8 years. Those were the most memorable years of my life as I always wanted to return to my studies after I dropped them when I got married in 1971. No matter what business or profession or occupation you are in, a good general education and knowledge of literature and languages is a must.
