When God planted the seeds at the very start of my journey in the flower world, I never saw myself here. I saw myself as a florist, owning my own flower shop.
But then he introduced me to preservation. Gave me the passion and skills to preserve flowers. Planted another seed in me to step out in confidence and share my passion with more than just friends and friends of friends. And I have watched him time and time again orchestrate incredible moments with clients that I never could have imagined.
So when your inner voice asks you ‘why?’ - why do you want to do that, why would you try something new, why would you quit a job, why would you step out and put yourself at risk? Trust. Step out. And watch what he’ll do.

Of course I always show off the front view of my work, but have you ever wondered what the back looks like? 🤔
When you decide to preserve your blooms in their natural 3D shape with us, they’ll immediately enter into a sealed container with a preserving agent to remove all of the moisture. They spend approximately 3-4 weeks (depending on a few factors) in this container until they are ready to come out and be designed!
First things first - PPE (personal protective equipment). Wearing a mask while working with this preservation product is very important. Small particles are easily airborne like a very fine dust when it is disturbed and these particles can be harmful to your lungs! So mask is always first.
Next, I work my way from the top down, gently removing the excess sand and taking out each bloom one at a time. A gentle shake or brushing helps to get all of the sand out from between those beautifully preserved petals.
Once every bloom is out, I always check for any missed beauties, and then the sand gets reactivated and prepped for a new bouquet! I love that I can reuse this product to minimize my footprint on nature.
Now your blooms are forever and they are ready to enter the design phase! 💐

Picture this, your bouquet arrives in the morning while you’re getting ready and it is such an exciting visual of the incredible day ahead. You show all your girls, and test out how it looks with your gown. You bring it with you, close (and probably tightly) down the aisle to the person you have chosen to spend forever with. It’s right there by you as you say ‘I do’. It comes down the aisle with you and your partner now that you’re one. It is a part of all of your incredible pictures. Then it always stays close by during your reception while you dine, dance and listen to some of the best speeches you’ll ever witness. Then as the evening concludes, you leave your venue and bring your blooms home. You admire them as they remind you of all the incredible moments you shared throughout the day.
Then you can choose to leave them with family, or enjoy them for a week, maybe 2 until they’re ready to be composted. OR you can trust them with a professional who will turn them into art you can cherish and admire forever. 🤍

Pulling blooms out of sand today.
A satisfying process where we get to see how your blooms turned out and will look in your forever piece!
I was chatting with one of my friends the other day, who is also an incredible floral preservationist, Lindsey of Wild Darling Designs, and she mentioned how much she loves removing flowers from sand! It’s always fun to learn and connect with other people who do what you do.
While these blooms will be going into a custom shadow box for one of my bride’s, I often get asked if I work with resin. I do not. I have focused and specialized in my handcrafted wooden frames and that is what I love.
Although, if you are looking for a local preservationist who does work with resin (and does it amazingly) look no further than Lindsey. She is an incredible human inside and out and I could not recommend her enough!
