💍 What Documents Get Signed at Your Wedding Ceremony? ✍️

Ever wonder what paperwork makes your “I do” official? Here’s a breakdown of the documents signed during or after your ceremony:

1️⃣ Marriage Register
• This stays with your officiant and is signed by the couple, their two witnesses, and the officiant. Once the book is filled, it’s sent back to the Ontario Ministry.

2️⃣ Marriage License
• Also signed by the couple, their witnesses, and the officiant, this document is mailed to the Ministry within 48 hours of your wedding.

3️⃣ Record of Solemnization
• This one is signed by your witnesses and officiant and is yours to keep. It’s your temporary proof of marriage until you can apply for your Marriage Certificate in 8-10 weeks.

📬 Your officiant takes care of mailing everything to the Ministry, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Just focus on enjoying your big day! 💕

Tonight, Tracey married Emma and Coral in an intimate Simple Signing ceremony at their home, surrounded by their parents and siblings.

Though Emma’s mom couldn’t be there in person from Germany, technology brought her close. She FaceTimed in on an iPad, just like that memorable scene from *Modern Family* where Phil Dunphy uses a Double Telepresence Robot on their family iPad. They carried her around until they found the perfect spot, so she could witness every beautiful moment and join in the celebration. 💞
