A classic winter scene at No. 31 Bombing and Gunnery School in Picton during 1941-42: a freshly snow-cleared Ubique Avenue, looking both South West and North East on a gorgeous sunny winter day. Looking past Arthur Norris’s H-Hut barracks, you can see the Hangars in the distance.

We were absolutely enchanted at The Department of Illumination ’s Firelight Lantern Festival and the wonderland they created! 🌟 From a room made entirely of playing cards to a gigantic floating white rabbit, it was pure magic. ✨ We can't wait to see what they have in store this coming weekend when they once light the Christmas tree in the heart of Picton. Join us at the cenotaph on Saturday, November 23 to witness the magic.

Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. Our goal of ridding the world of this disease is closer than ever and it’s crucial to continue working to make the world polio-free. If all eradication efforts stopped today, within 10 years, polio could paralyze as many as 200,000 children each year.

During the month of October, our club sells reconditioned fire extinquishers to raise funds for the PolioPlus campaign. Pictured here are Teresa Shephard-Benway and Chris Tabo of Base 31 presenting a cheque to Rotarians Bob Bird and Andy Janikowski. Base 31 bought our entire stock of fire extinguishers.

The Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue were on site at Base31 this week, ensuring Santa's sleigh is ready for his big arrival at next week's Picton's Santa Claus Parade! 🎅🚒

We know they will all be on the nice list this year!
