Founded in 2024 by JUNO Award-winning artist Justin Rutledge, Secret Beach plays a mix of tunes from yesteryear to today, from country classics to 90s favourites, as well as many undersung gems. The genesis of Secret Beach was a simple idea: to have a good time playing songs that they love, for the people they love in Prince Edward County

We thank The Andrew for their generous sponsorship of this fundraiser, and for our pals at Slake Brewing for coming out to banish our thirst!

We have received numerous messages regarding tonight's event & if we are cancelling.

AT THE MOMENT, WE ARE PROCEEDING WITH THE LAUNCH PARTY. The roads in Picton are a little wet, but no ice. The sidewalks around The Andrew have no ice, and to be on the safe side, we have salted our sidewalks and entrances.

We may need to cancel if the weather worsens in the next few hours. If we do, we will announce this at 12 noon. If there is no announcement at 12 noon, please come celebrate with us.

A fun-filled event is the perfect remedy to a dreary day.

We're thrilled that Larry Tayler will return for his annual talk during the Sunday Service on Sunday, April 6th, at 10:30 a.m. You don't want to miss this!

Larry Tayler retired in 2014 after a 46-year teaching and arts management career, the last 30 years of which were in Toronto. Born near Wellington, he is relishing retirement back in The County. For the last several years, he has given annual presentations to the Circle of Friends at The Andrew. His topics have included “Grace, Gravity and Getting Old” (2019), “Our Servant Job” (2022), “Jesus for the Embarrassed” (2023), and “Transforming Grief” (2024). He is an enthusiastic writer and photographer and is currently writing a novel about a gay minister who moves to Picton and finds love.

In his spare time, Larry cultivates interests in public speaking, railways, volunteer work, and doing the laundry. He shares life with his husband, the quilt maker Bill Stearman, plus three dogs and an irritable cat.

David’s Winter Hikes- 2 Hikes in March

Please RSVP David Jacob- [email protected] or text me (647) 444 – 1276.

⭐️Thursday, March 13th @ 1:00 pm
Meeting Point - Sandbanks Provincial Park (Outlet Beach parking lot)
This hike includes a small forest area. Then, we will take the Cedar Sands Nature Trail, which follows the Outlet River. This trail has a few staircases to climb, as well as 2 lookouts overlooking the river. We will then walk back to our cars along the Outlet Beach. We will stop for a break along the way, and you should bring water and a snack in a small daypack.

⭐️Tuesday, March 25, 2025-1:00 p.m – 4:00 pm.
Meet at Vanderwater Conservation, 512 Vanderwater Road, Thomasburg.

This hike is longer...likely 3 hours, but the scenery is excellent. There are 2 or 3 short medium size hills to climb for the forest part of the walk, followed by an extended walk along the Moira River. We will stop for a quick snack a couple times as there are roofed rest areas along the 8km route.

PLEASE NOTE that you will need to purchase a $5.00 parking pass from Quinte Conservation by calling them or using the phone App......please do not purchase the parking pass until the day prior in case of bad weather.
