We've got a date! On JULY 12, 2025, the historic Ship Hector replica will return to Pictou Harbour with a spectacular public side-launch!

With extensive restoration work already completed, the next phase of the project will transform the ship into Canadaโ€™s largest fully rigged, electric-powered passenger sailing vessel, offering tours and sail training.

The progress achieved to date has been made possible by the unwavering support of our community and the generous contributions to our "Charting Our Course" campaign.

Aiming for full operational status by summer 2027, alongside a modernized Interpretive Centre, the Hector Heritage Quay will become a landmark Canadian visitor destination, as well as an economic driver for our region.

Visit shiphector.ca for more information or to make a donation to the Charting Our Course campaign!
