Keep an eye out for the Paris Olympics commercial coming out soon. We were asked to be on location to produce the best looking cotton candy for this commercial. Very happy with the results!

[Carnaval d'hiver]
Ce samedi 28 janvier, de 11 h à 16 h, petits et grands
sont attendus au par Northview pour participer au
carnaval d'hiver. Au menu, jeux gonflables, animation
ambulante, patinage et plus encore !
Apportez votre tasse réutilisable pour déguster un
bon chocolat chaud offert sur place. Profitez-en
également pour soutenir 'Association de l'Ouest de
l'ile pour les handicapés intellectuels (WIAIH) qui
organise un barbecue.
On Saturday, January 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m., young and old alike are invited at Northview
Park to participate in the Winter Carnival. Activities
include inflatable games, street entertainment,
skating and more! Bring your own reusable mug and
enjov a hot chocolate on site. You can also support
the West Island Association for the Intellectually
Handicapped (WIAIH) who will be hosting a BBQ

HOW DID COTTON CANDY GET STARTED?

Cotton candy has been around for some time now, but it was not always made so easily using big equipment.

Cotton candy first started in Renaissance Italy. Yes, Italy! Chefs in high end restaurants melted and spun sugar by hand. They would also use forks to stretch the melted sugar to make long stringy strands and drape it over wooden pegs.

In 1949, Gold Medal Products created the first factory-made cotton candy machine. This made cotton candy production much faster and portable. At Barbe A Papa, we still use the products that Gold Medal Products produces for our services.
