Golden Hour ✨

Planning for golden hour at your wedding can add a magical touch to your photos. Here’s how to make sure you’re ready:

1. Know the Timing

Golden hour is the period shortly after sunrise and just before sunset when the sunlight is soft and warm. Use a weather app or website to check the exact time for sunset on your wedding day, and aim for this window for the best lighting.

2. Talk to Your Photographer

Inform your photographer in advance that you want to capture golden hour photos. They will be able to plan your timeline accordingly and ensure they’re ready to take advantage of this time.

3. Create a Flexible Schedule

Golden hour doesn’t last long, so build in a buffer in your wedding timeline. Plan to wrap up key activities (like the ceremony or dinner) early enough to leave time for a sunset shoot. Keep in mind it can vary depending on the season and location, so flexibility is key.

We had an incredible turnout this weekend at the Champagne Events Bridal Expo! Almost 300 brides registered and over 1200 people came through our doors on Saturday! 💍🤍Our first time hosting a bridal expo went so smoothly and exceeded my expectations entirely. This beautiful wedding was completely Enchanted. Our favourite Swiftie ( ), incorporated the most beautiful custom cape for her ceremony and added so many delicate touches to the decor that showed her style, and their love story so well. Megan was the mastermind behind this gorgeous day, we’re just happy we could help keep her sane in the process and be there to celebrate this love!

When you both work highly demanding jobs and know that planning a wedding on top of long hours is probably going to be a nightmare, do yourself a favour and hire a wedding planner.

Jaimie and Dawson opted for month of coordination to make sure that every detail was perfectly planned out. We took care of everything from creating a master timeline, to insurance reviews, to managing the day of.

These two were super hands on with the whole process and made everything so much more fun and memorable! Looking forward to running into them one of these days to hear if they chose Japan or Scotland for their honeymoon!

Adrianna and Ryan were the last wedding I coordinated before going off on maternity leave and I am so glad I was able to be a part of their special day! The day was full of so many magical moments and the energy was contagious. These two sure knew how to have a good time and quite literally danced the night away. we’re so happy for the beautiful couple and wish them a lifetime of magical moments!

It was an absolute pleasure working with these high school sweethearts! Sometimes you can just tell when two people are meant for each other. 💕

This bride was a total powerhouse when it came to thinking of every single detail and creating the most beautiful day imaginable. (Just wait until you see the reception venue that the couple and their families/friends decorated)

This wedding was one for the books! It’s not often that we get to work with someone as detail oriented and aesthetically inclined as Drew! She made her vision come to life in the days leading up to the wedding and it was so amazing to see such a badass maker design and construct the most unique statement pieces and pull everything together so perfectly!

These two are such kind and talented individuals and we can’t say enough good things about them or their wedding!

Its true! You need to treat yourself.

Weddings are stressful. Budget tracking, trying to keep up with checklist, wondering if you are remembering every detail…. It gets overwhelming, frustrating, and sometimes even exhausting. Planning your wedding is an experience you should enjoy, not dread.

Rather than thinking of hiring a wedding planner as another wedding expense, think of it as an investment for your mental health and wellbeing.
