The final IceJam of Coldsnap 2025 is ‘In-The-Round with Kobo Town and Special Guests.’

Note: use the doors to the right of the big bell on 5th Avenue. Our friendly volunteers will also be there to guide you in the right direction 😊

This will be an intimate, informal in-the-round with Kobo Town and special guests. Hosted In a cozy and welcoming setting, this is a rare opportunity to hear the artists strip down their songs and weave in their stories and insights. Kobo Town are known for their vibrant blend of calypso, reggae, and world music, and will be bringing their signature charm and energy into this format joined by some talented special guests. Expect music, stories, and shared experience celebrating the artistry and spontaneity of live acoustic performance.

The final workshop of Coldsnap 2025 is ‘Arts & Crafts with The Garrys.’ This event is free-to-attend!

Feb 9th @ 12PM at the Omineca Arts Centre.

Join The Garrys for a relaxed and interactive workshop on making music and getting into the scene. With live performances of their dreamy, reverb-soaked songs, the session will explore the ideas that inspire their songs and go through a process of how those ideas reach the finished product. The attendees will learn songwriting basics and are welcome to ask questions about how to manage the transition from a new band to a popular act. Ultimately, whether you're just starting out or are simply curious about what goes into the craft, this workshop gives an up-close dive into the creation of music.

The last Late Night of Coldsnap 2025 is ‘Dream Waves’ with St.Arnaud, The Garrys, and Kate Pike & the Loose Boots.

For our final night at the legion, with support from our friends at the Northern BC Q***r Connection Society, expect an evening of dreamy melodies interspersed with tinted shades of nostalgia, where Indie rock hears surf tones ringing somewhat like a rhythmic lull. The show sees enticing choruses firmly united with the perspectives of lyricism which immerse listeners back to the hazy summer days of wistful memories. It is the perfect soundtrack to share a tender night full of beautiful tunes and engaging atmosphere.

The first workshop of Coldsnap 2025 is ‘The Art of Breaking Through’ with Cat Clyde. This event is free-to-attend!

Feb 8th @ 12PM at the Omineca Arts Centre.

Join Cat Clyde in this friendly and relaxed workshop to discuss trials and tribulations of getting into the music scene, discussion about the inspirations behind their songs, and how they go from an idea to a finished creation. There will be time to invite the audience into a question-and-answer segment and allow the group to dive deeper into the process while providing valuable insight on how new bands make their ways into music businesses. Wanting to jump on the stage or are just merely fascinated with how songwriting goes: it will definitely bring forth an intimate gathering of this knowledge.

Over the weekend, Team Coldsnap (key volunteers, board and staff) met up to celebrate "slightly more than 2 weeks until Coldsnap!" - which kicks off at Knox Performance Centre on February 5th!

Fun fact - Coldsnap 2025 is our 18th annual winter music festival!!!

This team (and many more folks not pictured) make planning a multi-day music festival a true joy. Our festival is made possible by the time, dedication, teamwork, innovation and creativity of countless people - which is something truly spectacular to behold!

Coldsnap and the Prince George Public Library invite you to join us for an ‘IceJam’ with Juno nominated singer-songwriter Ginalina! Ginalina is known for her cheerful and heartwarming folk songs that applaud nature, family, and community, inspiring children and parents alike with singing, dancing, and connecting. The event will start with a music-themed reading to welcome the children and make for a good transition to an interactively engaging performance. Have fun dancing, and parents can jig with kids!
