Alright folks, I’m making a post 🕺🏽. Another one of thems “SPIRIT HEALERS”. This was a shoot from awhile back, but Markus wanted to finish his website before posting anything. So I puckered by bum until now 🍑.

We had an AWESOME shoot out in the wilderness, markus brought his kick arse doggo (Mogli), I’m glad he did because he’s hilarious, just a big nurturing goofball.

Markus is a guy with his sweet dog, who loves nature and helping people move through really tough arse realities in this lifetime & matrix. He’s a Death Doula!! Not the easiest job to undertake, but he’s doing it.

For real though, a solid human being who wants to help others move through “death”, might seem like a taboo subject, but not to me! This is realty.

He’s been working diligently on his practice and is now ready to show the woooorlddd!

A photo of Jessica on a little mountain top. Jessica is a “sound healer”, she uses instruments to guide people through her journeys, like the picture, blending the music from one instrument to another. She uses breath, yoga and energetic practices in her sessions.

She’s more interested in natural healing modalities to help others move and grow. She’s very genuine in helping people and that’s why I think she’s rad!

Welp, I’ve got some photos, it’s been a long as* time but I figured I’d post something! I’m still taking photos, just haven’t been posting a whole lot. Social media can be exhausting 😂

My friend Dawn asked if I’d come down island to photograph her “Crone” ceremony, so I did! To be honest, I didn’t even know what that meant. What the heck is a Crone?

In this Pagan tradition, it is the final stage of a wise women’s evolutionary & spiritual roll. I’m still learning about this but if you have anything to add to it in the comments, that would be awesome. Teach me some things!

Dawn has been helping people for a long as* time. As you can see from the people in her life and the photos, she’s helped & touched a lot of souls. And now embracing this roll and celebrating who she is and where’s she’s at in life. It’s a celebration bitch!

“SPIRIT HEALER”

Jessica made the trip from Vancouver to Parksville a few weeks ago to have her images taken for her website & business! Luckily for us it was a moody day, with breaks of sun shining through the dark rolling clouds. Somehow the weather always works in favor of these shoots, no matter if its rain, sun or clouds. Jessica brought her giant Gong to the top of the mountain, when she played, I leaned closer to it and closed my eyeballs, right away it brought me to a different time and place, kind of like ancient Asian in a monastery, a long long time ago. It’s really hard to describe the exact feeling, but no lie, it was neat. There were a lot of Eagles & Ravens flying and perched in the trees, more than usual, it sure made things look better and I just like those birds a lot.

The next day we had booked “Yoga Grace” studio for a sound journey for Jessica to play. She brought out that kick arse Gong and a lot of other really cool instruments. While everyone got comfortable, closed their eyes, Jessica began to play. How she plays is through her intuition, sometimes she won’t play the entire gong but with this crowd she played the whole piece. There was quite a lot to this session but I won’t spill anymore beans, you’ll just have to go see her.

When I photograph these healers, I try not to do any posing (though, giving guidance) and just let them be in their element and practice, while I keep quiet! And take some graphs, that way they can get deep into their process and I can see their true self, no phones bologns!

It was amazing to work with Jessica and hope you get a chance to check her sound journeys out. She’s based out of Vancouver area & travels for gigs, she will be back on the island no doubt. Be sure to watch for her website coming real soon!

This is a friend of my .dancing.otter I’ve been taking pictures of her for the past few years (Spirit Healer), she’s really an amazing & mystical person. She’s been doing 1:1 teachings, educating and ceremonial leadership. She has gone to Italy to teach! And a bunch of other places, but that one stuck out to me, cuz that’s my blooood, ha.

I want to mention that she is doing her doctorate and needs a bit of help paying for her PhD! Which starts really soon. Jan 8!

Her approach to tattooing is very similar to mine, where it’s a process of getting to know the person and letting the process unfold to however it’s meant to be. She’s a talented one, check her out!

Dawn is a “Spirit Healer” who I’ve been taking photos of for years. We’ve become good friends and I’ve watched her grow as someone who’s been wanting to help people overcome their obstacles in life. She been travelling all over the world to hold ceremonies these past few years, and just returned from Italy where she was brought over to hold a ceremony there. She’s now recently finished her masters and working towards a doctorate! Movin on up.

Dawn asked me to take some photos of her recent women’s ceremony, so we chose this wicked beach on Vancouver island. I’ve taken photos of her in the past and both times were so different, but both were really interesting and unique. Women coming together and celebrating each-other and themselves, I would think that’s pretty awesome for the betterment of humanity. I didn’t say much, I just took photos and watched as the ceremony happened.

I try to drop in to the setting of what happens that day and capture the people and place as the day unfolds aaaand this is what I saw 👀
