09.16.23 The Noels ❤️

You can't untie a wet knot!! This hurricane wedding day was a wet one indeed. Fortunately there was about an hour break in the rains for Ryley and Abby to sneak outside for some photos up town Saint John!

I had done my official first room flip from ceremony to reception for this wedding with the gracious help of the staff at the Saint John Marina and my husband. I'm always learning new things, trick and tips with every wedding I continue to do. In the end, the power stayed on and everyone had a great time celebrating the union of high school sweethearts Abby and Ryley! I'd say that's a win!

JUNE ❤️

What a month! 3 wedding coordinations/ decor set up and take downs out of ten completed, a wedding shower, outdoor soccer started, my son turned 3, attended my besties wedding in Halifax, and had a few adventures in between! I’m tired 😅.

Thankfully July is a bit slower and I can start to put my focus on the remaining couples for weddings of this year and work on inquiries for next year 🥰.

Meet Jessie 💖

You’ll be seeing her a lot this summer working as my assistant coordinator and decorator. She’s a hard and pationnate worker who is so fun to be around. I can’t wait for all of you to meet her!

Jessie just finished her first year of university with flying colours! She’s studying to hopefully be a child psychologist in which she will excel at because she is so compassionate, empathetic, and attentive.

How did Jessie and I meet? We go wayyyy back! Before I was born my parents lived next door to her grandparents where her mother stilled lived at the time. Fast forward to when I was 13, Jessie’s family then bought her grandparents house. I have many memories of Jessie growing up to become to beautiful women she is today inside and out! She’s the little sister I never had. In 2020, both our parents sold our childhood homes and it was an end to a wonderful era growing up 💔

So here’s to our next era!! More than grateful AND lucky to have you part of my team!!

The Barry Wedding: 28.10.23

It was an absolute pleasure to decorate and do some day of coordinating for these two high school sweethearts! This was my first time at First Light Distillery just outside of Fredericton, NB and the venue did not disappoint 😍. The weather could not have been more perfect for this time of year!

Today I turn 30!! Entering a new decade has me reminiscing of all the fun times, friendships made, and spontaneous adventures had. In my 20s I became a registered nurse, a soccer player, a wife, a mother, and an entrepreneur by getting my wedding planner certification. I got my ADHD diagnoses and because of that things are starting to make so much more sense in all aspects of my life! I am learning to be more patient with myself and focus my energy on things that make me happy and fulfilled. Little 20 year old me would be so proud!

I’m so excited for what my 30s will bring! Looking forward to growing and seeing where this business takes me!

05/27/23: The Gormley wedding 💕

Pat and Emily met for the first time on his family cottage beach. So it’s only fitting they marry here 6 years later.

A lot of work went into making this day one to remember! With two venues to decorate and a full day of coordination we worked around the clock to get it done! It was a great learning experience of just how much time it takes to set up, decorate and finesse while simultaneously coordinating vendors and guests!

So thankful Emily and Pat trusted me to pull off their wedding day even though I only officially had two wedding coordinations under my belt! I look back at this day and think about how far I’ve come since the start of wedding season!

Baby in full bloom 🌸🌺🌼

A little over two years ago Katherine, my sister, and a couple friends threw me a beautiful baby shower. I was so excited to return the favour with the help of Morgan Clark 💕

Katherine and I grew up down the street from each other and are going on 25 years or so of friendship. I’m so excited that our kids will also grow up down the street from one another. How lucky are we?!

Katherine, you give everything you do your all and you do it with kindness and grace. I know you’re going to make such a fantastic mother. I can’t wait for you to experience the love and joy that’s about to come 🙊💕

Celebrated our race car obsessed two year old last month with family and friends. He’s growing way TWO fast 🥲. Thankful for friends who were able to come help set up early! We were so fortunate to be able to have Shannon-May Photography capture so many special moments throughout the afternoon. As some of you may know, Shannon-May came into our lives when my now husband and I got engaged in 2020 and we keep coming back to her for more! She’s not only super talented at capturing all of life’s intimate moments she has also become a friend and girl boss that I look up to! 🥰

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately… I had my appendix removed and am now on the mend! If there ever was a perfect time for my appendix to misbehave it’s now as no weddings until the end of August! No need to worry I’ll be back up and running in no time 😍

My first official wedding coordination was back in October 2022. This wedding will always hold a special place in my heart. Nicole approached me to coordinate her wedding day after seeing me in action planning and coordinating our mutual friend's bachelorette. I am so thankful she did because it gave me the courage to follow my passion, get certified, and start my business!

Fun fact! The dress I wore on my wedding day was ivory. The NB in the name stands for New Brunswick; where I grew up and am currently located.

Hi, I’m Renee and I’m excited to announce that I am officially launching my wedding and event planning business, Ivory Events NB!

I am from Rothesay, New Brunswick and I am a certified wedding planner through the Wedding Planners institute of Canada. I am also a mother and a part time nurse working in the neonatal ICU at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

I am a highly organized and motivated extrovert who loves a challenge! From themed parties, family gatherings, showers, and more, I have always had a passion for planning and organizing events. It wasn’t until I planned my own wedding in 2020 that I developed a passion for wedding planning and coordinating. My only regret for my wedding was not hiring a day-of-coordinator. If I would have had someone to navigate all the changes in guidelines, especially with Covid-19 restrictions, the day would have been more enjoyable and less stressful on my part.

So it got me thinking… if I can survive planning and coordinating my own wedding through all the changes during Covid-19, I can do just about any wedding or event! So why not professionally educate myself and become the person that people can lean on to plan and/or run their special day?!

With the encouragement and support from family, friends and vendors in the wedding industry, I decided to take the leap and offer my own wedding and event planning services!
