Imagine waking up on your wedding day, knowing you don't have to worry about a thing, because you hired a wedding coordinator. You get to sit back, relax, and enjoy your morning (and your mimosas) with your bridesmaids.

Still on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator for the big day? Here's some reasons you should consider:

• We know your plans for your wedding day inside and out and can answer any questions that might pop up.

• We take care of ceremony and reception décor setup (and changeover)

• We are the main point of contact for all of your vendors (so no one is bugging you or your partner)

• We help create a complete wedding day timeline, from the minute you open your eyes that morning, until the end of your reception, and share it with all of your vendors to ensure a cohesive day.

• We make sure that the day stays on schedule and adapt the schedule as needed.

• We pay attention to details to make sure everything looks picture perfect.

• We are problem solvers and will do our best to put out any fires that might pop up so you don't have a clue that anything is wrong.

If you don't have a coordinator, typically that means you're relying on parents or friends to take care of all the things listed above, which means they don't get to enjoy your wedding day, because they're working. More importantly, without a coordinator, following the timeline typically falls on the shoulders of your photographer or videographer (and that takes away from them being able to do their jobs properly).

I feel like this could be a controversial topic, but it is one of my most asked questions from my clients. Should you tip your wedding vendors? Are there certain vendors you should/shouldn't tip? How much should you tip? The list goes on, and if you look on Google or Pinterest, you'll get a million different answers.

Obviously, there is nothing wrong with giving vendors monetary tips if that's something you prefer. I always tell my clients that there should be no expectations from their vendors to receive a tip, and there's also no "right" or "wrong" amount to give.

In my opinion, the best tip you could give your vendors is leaving them a review. Not only will it make their day, but it also helps their business in the long run when future potential clients read those reviews. And the best part? It doesn't cost you a thing 😉 so if you haven't already, go leave some reviews. I promise they'll be eternally grateful 🤍

One of my favourite newer trends is the pocket boutonniere! They are a chic and modern twist on the traditional boutonniere. Instead of pinning flowers to the lapel, they are neatly tucked into the pocket of a suit jacket. It's a stylish detail that adds a dash of personality to the groom and groomsmen attire, and it's more likely to stay picture perfect throughout the day. One thing to keep in mind if you love the pocket boutonniere, too - make sure your suit jacket has a pocket to put them in 😉

Today was supposed to be my first day back to work from maternity leave. For those of you who didn't know, I've been a store manager of a clothing store here in Red Deer for the past few years. When I started this small wedding planning business almost 4 years ago, I could have only hoped that someday I'd be busy enough to make this my full-time gig.

I am so excited (and equally terrified) to say that time has come 🥹 I'm ditching the job that drained me daily to pursue a career that fills my cup. I am so eternally grateful for all my past, present, and future clients for making this possible 🤍

My wedding season came to a close this past weekend, and as I sit here reminiscing, I can't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude.

This was my fourth wedding season since launching this little business of mine right before the world shut down. I was blessed to have 13 beautiful weddings this season, my busiest season yet, while also juggling my new role as a mom. I don't have the words to express how grateful I am to get to do what I do.

To my thirteen incredible couples, thank you for sharing your love stories with me and for allowing me to play a role in your big day. Working alongside each and every one of you and bringing your vision to life truly brings me so much joy. I have the best clients 🤍

And thank you to all of the amazing vendors I had the pleasure of working with this season. Some old friends and some new faces. The wedding industry in Central Alberta is loaded with talented individuals that I look forward to working with for years to come.

"If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life" has never felt more true. I can't wait to see what the 2024 season has in store!

I am so blessed to have been able to be a part of my beautiful bestie's wedding day, deep in the woods at the cutest little cabin on a lake, surrounded by her closest friends and family.
