Our Story

la petite Jaune Fleur started out as my dream in a second career. As a safety specialist for many years, I finally made the decision to follow my passion and train as a floral designer and open my own flower store. I have been a local shop in Red Deer for over 16 years and believe my love for flowers and design have served me well. My husband actually came up with the name la petite Jaune Fleur because yellow is my favorite color and I wanted a shop that had a European flavour. The name stuck and I followed with a vespa which I ride all over the city with my two little dogs Jadzia and Fergie.

I am blessed to be able to create flowers that speak to peoples heart in good times and in bad. I have a small but mighty team and we try to convey that personal emotion for every occasion. The awards we have won both locally and internationally always remind me of whom we serve and why.

My instructor once told me that in order to break the rules and create outside of the box, I had to learn the rules and understand not only how to arrange flowers but how to care for them and understand their needs. Now that I own my own shop, I love to break the rules and if it can be made, I will create it!
