Albert County Christmas Aid

Phone lines for the Albert County Christmas Aid will be open from Tuesday, November 12th to Friday, November 29th Monday to Friday between the hours of 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Please call 386-1771 to register your family. Have Medicare numbers for all those in the family registering available when you call. For those wishing to visit Headstart Toyland, registration will be done online starting on November 18 for a limited time. Toyland will operate from December 4th to December 19th.

Only one family per address can be registered. You can not register for another family.

Once again, the RCMP/GRC paid a visit to Shepody Food Bank to drop off over $370 in Sobey's gift cards. Each year, the Riverview Caledonia Detachment collects coupons from their gasoline purchases throughout the year and exchanges them for the gift cards, which they donate to various local charities. This year, they divided the proceeds between Salisbury Helping Hands, SPOT Petitcodiac Food Bank and Shepody Food Bank. The RCMP/GRC has been doing this for several years, and we are truly grateful to the Riverview Caledonia Detachment for their ongoing support!

Once again, Fundy Curling Club of Riverside-Albert came through with a big donation of 370 lbs. of various meats and meat products - canned hams, cold cuts, hot dogs, frozen meat pies, dinners and more. A huge thank you to FCC for helping us fill our freezers and feed our friends and neighbours in need!

On behalf of the Shepody Food Bank Board of Directors and volunteers, thank you to our region's churches, local businesses and residents who conducted food and donation drives throughout 2023 to help us meet the needs of those in need in our community. Your generosity is truly, truly appreciated by all of us.

A great opportunity for our community!

In continuing Harvey Hall Seniors outreach you’ll want to know that The United Way is looking to expand their frozen meal delivery program to rural areas of South East NB.

Seniors can apply to receive 10 frozen meals/week delivered to their home for $1/meal. In order to successfully have meals delivered in the Fundy Albert area, they need to have enough applicants, so please help to spread the word in getting folks to apply.

Ages 60+ are considered senior for this program
“Low income” is between ~$7000-$23000 annually
Meals are prepared by a chef with the support of culinary students
