Ian is a local Folk Music legend beloved by his fans for his outstanding contributions to the Canadian folk music canon and as an early pioneer of the Ottawa Valley folk music tradition.

Ian has won and been nominated for numerous awards throughout his career including a JUNO Award in 1976, a CFMA in 2010 and a CFMA nomination in 2022 for English Songwriter of the Year.

In 2021, Ian was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada for his enduring contributions as a folk music icon.

2024 was a banner year for the band with 2 Canadian Folk Music Awards nominations.

Guitar, banjo, harmonium and double bass accompany the tender and powerful harmonies at the core of Moonfruits’ sound.

Just wanted to give you a Sneak Peek at a wonderful Music Series in an unusual yet uniquely intimate 80 seat venue in Old Ottawa South, right next to Brewer Park in Ottawa.

Folk, Roots, Bluegrass, Alt Indie, Trad Blues, Celtic, Kitchen Party and more....

JUNO & CFMA recognized artists every Sunday evening, 7-9 pm, from May 17 to August 30. Arrive for dinner before 6:30 pm to get Priority Seating.
