Exciting news 😱

For the first time in TEN years, we will be appearing at in-person wedding shows!

Why Now?

Well, if you know me then you know I’m always evolving, open to ideas, and I always love & crave the art of connection. I thought we’d have some fun with a few shows, especially as we’re now based in Niagara Region. It feels like the right time 🤗

Being PRESENT on your wedding day

What does this mean exactly? I’ll break it down for you...

Being present means that you’re fully in each moment, not looking back and not looking ahead, just being. This may seem incredibly difficult to some, but I’m here with some tips for you ;)

Before I share some tips, I want to share a little story with you. I’ve seen many couples not be present on their wedding day, running around trying to fit everything into a small amount of time. To me, if a wedding is properly planned, this should allow you to be completely in the moment. Here’s how...

1. Make sure all important planning elements are taken care of in advance of your day. There’s nothing worse than worrying about a certain vendor or guest doing what they’re supposed to be doing. You want that trust fully there.

2. Be aware of how much you’re drinking. I’m certainly not here to shame anyone. However, it’s proven that drinking can inhibit your ability to be present. It seems exciting in the moment; however, it can impact your memories in the moment.

3. Hire wedding professionals. If you have the right type of wedding vendors for your day hired, there’s no doubt you’ll be taken care of. The work is done, and now it’s your job to enjoy every single glorious moment.

This is why we say we like to create transcendent moments in time by considering every detail. It’s all about you two being in the moment and enjoying every amazing memory that comes your way on wedding day.

Let me tell you about our amazing client care specialist, Kayla...

Kayla came on board right as we opened back up for events after being shut down during COVID, around 3 1/4 years ago now. My friends at Fedora Media referred me to her 😊

Within about two weeks, Kayla was taking on most of our client meetings, providing support to those couples in need, running the all-important "final planning meetings", and also providing support to our DJ & Emcee team.

My life has completely changed with Kayla in it as I can count on her as an alternate voice inside my head. She understands the importance of details, and the high level of support that we offer to our clients throughout the entire wedding planning journey.

S&S and their brilliant review…

We sometimes receive lengthy, detailed and important reviews like what you’re seeing from S&S. I take these to heart as we’ve built a beautiful business with client care and details at the forefront, and we consistently receive reviews that speak about our planning approach, professionalism, and the FUN had by all on wedding day.

What isn’t spoken about in this review is that we had another one of our DJs assigned to this wedding. Unfortunately, sickness took him out unexpectedly last minute. We went to work quickly and Gary stepped in and took over masterfully like this wedding was always his.

A reminder to always ask your vendors about backup plans and how your wedding will be executed in emergency scenarios. This is crucially important!

Hire wedding vendors that feel like friends…

How do you do that?

🌟 Have the intention of connecting with your wedding vendors, not having a wall up.

🌟 Ask interesting questions, not just the standard “print off the internet” questions.

🌟 Ensure they’re listening to you, and addressing your most important needs, not just trying to sell you. This is CRUCIAL!

🌟 You should be able have an open and transparent conversation covering ANY topic you desire. Challenge the vendor!

Right from when I started this business, I made a commitment to a client care first approach. This means under all circumstances, take care of the client first. Then everything else will fall into place.

The area not discussed enough in the wedding business is this: the planning phase of your wedding, the big build up to your wedding day, is extremely important to a successfully run day. This doesn’t magically happen, there’s a lot of important work put in.
