We tend to get a lot of clients that are particular about music, and wondering how to fit this into their wedding day. If this is you, keep reading...
One of the reasons we created this business is to give couples a say in their wedding day. We have a great system in place to capture all your unique music, and connect with you multiple times prior to wedding day to review everything in detail.
One suggestion? Be careful to not play ALL your eclectic music during dancing as this may alienate guests if they're not as familiar with your music. Spread your important music throughout the day to make different parts of the day as memorable as the other.

We always recommend choosing TWO register signing songs - one main song and a backup song. This way, the DJ isn't in a scenario where they're looping the same song over again to prevent the dreaded silence after the song ends. Now, if you wish to loop a song (for example, if it's an instrumental song) then we're at your service.

I’m going to share a story with you all…
When I left my old corporate life behind, I was all in on every aspect of building my business. I did whatever it took to reach my dreams. I had a no boundaries, meetings anytime approach to running my business.
I certainly don’t regret my approach to building my business, however, my mental health absolutely took a major hit in accomplishing my goals. Let me just say that I lost complete balance in my life, and work was the priority over EVERYTHING else in my life.
Back in 2017, and with the growth of my business, I was able to step back from being out at events myself. This was the first step in taking my life back and I’ve never looked back.
Nowadays, although I continue to grow my business at a steady pace, there is nothing more important than my mental well-being, every single day. Eating a clean diet, getting regular exercise, focussing on areas in my life that bring me an immense amount of joy… these things all help me be present and put my true self out there with our clients.

Is mixing important for weddings? 🤔
Yes, it’s absolutely important to create a great mix through the decades at your wedding.
Saying that, no amount of beautiful mixing replaces the art of choosing the right songs for YOUR day.
This is why we’re particular about collaborating with you on your music. Could we show up to your wedding and execute at a high-level? For sure we could! This is not about us though, it’s about you having a say in your day, and this is a big part of our approach in executing weddings.
Regardless of which DJ from our team is present for your day, you will get a professional mixologist (I know I know, I stole this term from our lovely bartenders) at the helm.
So yes, put stock in the DJ’s ability to mix music; however, if you focus on song selection for your day, and what you’d really want to hear, that will get your dance floor where you want to be. 😉

A new era has begun 🙌🏼
The move to St. Catharines has officially happened, and I’m pleased to announce that we’re now a Niagara Region-based business!
What does this mean for you if you’re an inTUNE client or preferred venue? Well, nothing really. Because we’re a completely mobile service-based business, our approach stays the same no matter where we live.
This does allow us to grow in Niagara Region and the Golden Horseshoe, which that process had already started over the past couple years. We’re super excited for new opportunities in this region as our services are a great fit for custom weddings at the most unique properties. Hello, more winery weddings! 🍷💃🏼
On a personal level, this feels right for Meredith and I and our next step after marrying last year. She is originally from Niagara Region, and this will allow us to be close to some important family members and friends. 🤗

Typically when we’re booked for second weddings, there are some key items that become of highest importance to the couple:
⭐️ Uniquely chosen venue: In this case, the lovely worked perfectly for their intimate celebration.
⭐️ Speaking of intimate celebration, M&T intentionally chose to have between a 50-60 guest count. This is a common scenario we see.
⭐️ A heavy focus on the FUN element. They wanted hits from classic rock & country to current top 40. Say no more 😉

Late night at a wedding is often the real party; when the drinks have been flowing, had some late night, food, and there’s just a couple of hours left on your wedding day. We often advise to save those classic throwback anthems for the late night party. This music is often music you either grew up with, enjoyed at high school or university years, or danced to in the clubs with your friends. “Throwback” anthems are highly customizable for your day.
