It is with extreme sadness that I have to say that Father John Brown has gained his enormous wings and is resting in peace.

When Hernder’s started doing weddings in the early 90s Father John came to us expressing he wanted to be a fixture at our place officiating weddings and that he did. His kind demeanour and his sense of humour made everyone fell in love with him. He was at our place so much he had his robe and eventually his cane hanging on the back door of my office. He had several medical problems but always showed up with the biggest smile, hugs and wanted to know how everyone was doing.

I’m sure if you were married a while back you will for sure recognize this amazing man.

Father John, you will be missed by so many…. After every visit or phone call he always ended “god bless” so God Bless to you, I hope you are free of pain and can now be our guardian angel. I will miss you my friend 🙏🏼♥️

Chapter 2 started last night as we celebrated Amanda & Trevor’s magical day ♥️ The ceremony took place where it always had been but the reception was in our new Luna Lounge. What a beautiful day for an amazing couple with incredible family and friends 🙌🏼. If all wedding could be this amazing my heart will smile forever.

With 2 years of covid followed by the fire it felt so good to have some normalcy and seeing happiness once again.

Cheers to Chapter 2, it certainly started off beautifully 🙏🏼

It has only come to my attention that I haven’t posted about our horrific fire on this page and I apologize. 6 weeks ago tonight we had a devastating fire and we lost our beloved barn 😪 it has been a very difficult time for our family as we sort out our emotions and what is next.

We do have a space in the back that we are licensing for up to 125 guests with a walk out patio with a sunset view.

We are rebuilding but realistically this won’t start till next Spring. We are committed to keeping the rustic elegance feels that everyone feel in love with over the past 25 years.

I will only be booking one function at a time for now till I have a concrete time frame for the new build.

We aren’t open at the 1607 8th Avenue location but have our wine store inside Harvest Barn at 1179 4th Avenue (across the street from the St. Catharines hospital)

Our hearts are broken for those that were booked this year and we pray you find another special place. If you still want us to be part of your day ask your venue if our wine can be at your bar 🍷

Again I apologize for not posting earlier, everyday since March 26 has been very hard and we are still mourning the loss of our family barn.

Stage 3 and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see what feels like just a bit or normal ♥️ Kristina & Blake said I DO outside by the pond and is having their reception in the Victoria Room with 57 people with air conditioning and yes dancing 💃🏼 couldn’t be more excited about this huge milestone
