Art lovers, we need you! There is still time to donate to our Annual Appeal before year's end. Your gift — no matter the size — ensures that ArtSpring can continue to enrich our community through the arts.

ArtSpring is booked over 300 days a year, yet receives less than 10% of its funding from government. Donations from people like you represent nearly 40% of our annual budget — you keep the lights on, the doors open, and the magic alive.

To learn how to support this year's Annual Appeal, visit artspring.ca/donate/.

NOTE: To receive a 2025 tax receipt, we must receive your donation by December 31st. We will be unable to accept in-person or phone donations after December 19th, as we will be closed for the holidays until January 4th. Donors giving by mailed cheque can receive a 2025 tax receipt as long as the cheque is dated 2025.

An overwhelming standing ovation for Bear Grease last night. A handful of seats left for tonight. I was drawn into not only the fun factor, it also was a very poignant statement of the road to reconciliation. Bravo and thank you to the creators of Bear Grease.

Bear Grease is in the house. This is going to be fun. Two shows only.

Jeffrey Renn has been hard at work in his residency, and the time has come to share the results with the community! This Saturday, November 29th, join us at ArtSpring at 2:00pm to see a staged reading of "King Dump." Entrance is free.

"King Dump" description from the artist:

1896 - Paris

Alfred Jarry’s play, UBU ROI, (the English translation of this French play is often King Turd) opens and closes on its first night. A single performance left the audience dumbfounded by its obscenity. Theatre of the Absurd was born and modernism kicked the door in. It was beyond even South Park for its day! Brutal in its vulgarity and scatology. 120 years later plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Now, KING DUMP is a tale for our time.

Warnings: Vulgar language, sexually explicit content, p**p jokes, offensive content, please prepare to be offended, that’s the point.

*It should be noted that none of the characters portrayed in this play are meant to represent any real persons living or dead.

We are unbelievably excited to welcome Jeremy Dutcher to ArtSpring for a sold-out show this weekend. Jeremy is a Two-Spirit song carrier, activist, ethnomusicologist, and classically trained operatic tenor with powerhouse vocals. Jeremy launched onto the scene with the album Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa, which is sung entirely in Wolastoqey, his ancestral language. This album won Jeremy his first Polaris Music Prize. With his second album, Motewolonuwok, he became the only person ever to win the prize twice.

With so much acclaim, it comes as little surprise that Dutcher’s ArtSpring performance sold out nearly immediately. Missed your chance to buy tickets? The 2025/2026 ArtSpring Presents season is our biggest yet, and there are still plenty of exciting performances ahead. Our Story

ArtSpring is an 11,800 square-foot, two-level heavy timber structure boasting a 5,200-square-foot exhibition/ multi- purpose area and a 6,600-square-foot, 265-seat theatre.

ArtSpring’s activities are primarily associated with rentals by local professionals, semi-professionals, amateurs, school groups, guilds, and visual artists. Events presented by ArtSpring are chosen to complement, enhance, and diversify what is already available through local arts organizations.
