Repost• The first thing you might notice about is that she is just an absolutely beautiful person. But the second thing you find out is that she is the kindest, smartest, hardest working gal around. Karyn is always assessing situations and figuring out behind the scenes ways to lift up women in business and help them shine. We are blown away by her ability to help women see and develop their own potential and beauty every day, side by side.
Karyn is a light of gentle determination, grit wrapped in generosity and we are so honoured to know her. One small example of Karyn sharing her amazing gifts is the fact that you will see her tonight, ON HER BIRTHDAY, photographing you as you arrive at the extravaganza. Thank you, Karyn, for sharing your time, your friendship, and your talents with us! Happy happy birthday and we will see you soon!

Today we celebrated with our great friends at and .
We put on an event that was jam packed with fun and excitement!

Along with super cool selfie stations, headshots, pop up shopping, we designed a diverse and inclusive fashion show that showcased our unique and amazing fashion finds at each store.
But the best was highlighting that everyone has a seat at the table.
There is more than enough room in this city for all of us to thrive and excel.
If you are a female led business in this city- we want to support you, we want to highlight you, we want to celebrate you!
Let’s chat!

Repost from• Selfies aren’t selfish.

Don’t you wish that as women, when we got 'the talk' (you know the one) from our mom or from our best friend in grade 9 or from late night TV that our ongoing body changes would have featured it it. Like after, "Listen little Sally, your body is going to go through some changes and it might feel scary and weird but it's totally normal," we need to add, "and then that will happen again... and again and again.. and even again."

But maybe it's time to give ourselves that chat.

Your body is just the wrapping that holds your incredible soul. We never stop changing and neither do our shells so let's learn to embrace them today.

One way to embrace the now is to get in the frame.

Seeing yourself in a photo is a great way to start embracing the body you're in. If you're not comfortable being in the photos with your people, we double dog dare you to start taking selfies, even secretly. No one will know, we promise.

But why?

Seeing yourself through a photo rather than a mirror can allow you to actually assess whether you:

1. Like your outfit.

2. Look great.

3. Want to save that look for future styling.

We’re challenging you to take the (not so) perfect selfie.

Do it for you. Document your REAL life and your REAL self and maybe, just maybe, as you being to collect those still moments, you will begin to see yourself the way your loved ones see you too.

Repost from • In short, We had a blast!
In long form; this was one of the best events we have ever attended and not just saying that because we helped plan it! The kindness and love that we felt was more than we could’ve ever asked. We loved having a chance to show diversity of all kinds and represent so many different bodies in fashion. As fashion sellers we have to take the initiative to show all sorts of styles on all bodies and show that anyone can wear anything as long as it makes them happy. No matter your race, age, gender presentation or sexuality, clothes are meant to make you feel good and getting to show that this weekend to so many amazing folks really made our year. ❤️❤️❤️

Reposted from• Young Cierra would be so shocked, but so proud of grown up Cierra right now.

Growing up plus size, I never really seen bodies like mine in media, on runways, in movies, anywhere really. It led me to believe that the one body type I constantly saw over and over again was the only acceptable body. Which led to a long period of time of me hating my body, not taking part in activities for fear of embarrassment, and so much more.

This past weekend one of my favourite boutiques asked me to participate in their fashion show alongside my friend to model similar outfits on different body types. The fact that this event put on by made body diversity a PRIORITY at their event made a huge impact in not only my life, but so many of the attendees lives as well.

Im so grateful for this opportunity and so blessed that stores like and exist to hold space for those above a size 12.

But then again, isn’t it crazy that I have to feel ‘blessed’ to have a store that carries my size? We still have such a long way to go, and I can’t wait for the day that the work that I do and the way I fight for body diversity and inclusivity won’t even be a conversation, it will just simply exist.

Until then, keep supporting stores that all of your friends can shop at, and question those that they can’t.

On Sunday this awkward introvert wore her brave (and leopard) and ventured solo to Celebrate Yourself{ie} by Here’s the thing that needs to be highlighted, I knew at my core that this event was one where showing up solo would feel okay. Why? Because this event was created with the intent of belonging. From the moment I arrived, it was apparent that every single person felt that they belonged. You could feel the sense of community and the absence of competition.

And then, as our armour was dulled because of the safety of our surroundings, our filter free selfies were hit with the most beautiful and DIVERSE fashion show. I have never seen so many different bodies being celebrated on a runway. And I certainly have never seen my own body on a runway. Until Sunday. These women stood in their skin, in their power and did something that we all need to do, they took up space. As a community, we cheered and clapped and celebrated. We learned how to dress our bodies (thanks to those styling interludes Deena and Abby) rather than hide our bodies. We all left with permission slips to not only rock the bodysuit but also the personality that has been hidden under layers of unrealistic standards.

So what was my takeaway that no one asked for? It’s time. It’s time to take up space. It’s time to stop shrinking ourselves and dimming our light. Oh, one one more thing, it’s time to embrace the body suit.

, you will always have my heart (and my pay checks). Thanks for showing us all the way to inclusion, diversity and belonging.

I’ve been trying to come up with the words to describe how this weekend’s event made me feel. To see so many incredible people in one place, celebrating themselves, their beauty, their true selves. To see such strong, fierce models from all walks of life, all ages, all backgrounds, absolutely cutting up the red carpet runway, in support of local fashion. To see the body positivity and size inclusive movement make its way to my city, in such a memorable way.

The only word I can come up with is ‘grateful’.

It’s events like from that will be a complete game changer in women loving themselves. In people of all genders and ages loving their bodies. In breaking the cycle of negative self talk, cliquey bullying, poor body image, and spending any small moment of this wonderful life worried about what others think of us.

I’m so grateful ❤️ thank you for an incredible day.

Reposted from The last fashion show I watched was of Victoria Secret in 2006. My eyes glued to the TV screen full of self judgement. I remember thinking ‘They’re the definition of beauty, so what does that make me?’.

I was an unhappy, insecure, lost 18 year old.

And that Fashion Show kick started my bulimia and body dysmorphia into high gear.

It changed my life.

Yesterday I attended an event by . The women attending this event and the women in the fashion show were all shapes, sizes and ages - it was the most beautiful room I had ever been in.

Women supporting, and loving other women.

I👏🏻did👏🏻not👏🏻stop👏🏻smiling.

While watching the fashion show I introduced myself to the young woman standing next to me, .schaan. We had so much in common and instantly connected.

She is a confident, beautiful, happy 19 year old.

And after the Event I thought to myself, how incredible is it that this young woman experiences this gift of authenticity, diversity and inspiration from ALL the women in that room.

It was everything I needed at her age, but had no where to find it.

My heart was elated with joy for her and that THIS (what I saw with my eyes and felt inside my soul!) is the community she will grow into womanhood with.

This is how it should be for every young woman. 🤍

Well done Queens and your first of many Celebrate Yourself(ie) Events.

Thank you for inspiring ALL women to celebrate themselves 🤍
