The Shelburne Events Committee sends sincere condolences to the family of Bob Sinden who passed away earlier today. Bob was a pillar in our community and involved in many committees and events including the Shelburne County Giant Pumpkin Festival and Regatta.

We are forever grateful for the dedication that Bob had for his community and will honour him for the years to come. Our thoughts are with the family of Bob today and in the days ahead.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone in our community for the incredible support you've shown to the Shelburne Events Committee over the past year! 🙏

We’ve loved every minute of planning and organizing our 4 signature events — the Easter Egg Hunt, Dock St. Days, the Giant Pumpkin Festival and Regatta, and Miracle on Dock St. 🎉

These events were a huge success, and none of it would have been possible without the support and collaboration of so many amazing people in our community. We are truly grateful to each and every one of you!

To everyone who participated and enjoyed these events, thank you for being a part of our wonderful community spirit! This year was big, and we know the future is looking bright for our committee. 🌟

Found at corner of Ann and Mowatt St last night…..a 3 wheeled Baby Trend Sport Expedition Stroller…was left behind vehicle when they drove off…message us if this is yours!!

Update-FOUND the cross-chain is still missing…..Someone lost a gold chain with a cross on it tonight, if you Shelburne Guild Hall Marketwhile out walking please let us know by msging!

Also if you purchased something from “Dragons Planet” at the Shelburne Guild Hall Market and forgot your purchase, please send us a msg as well!!

🎉 And the Winners Are In! 🎉

The votes have been tallied, and we are beyond excited to announce the winners of our 4th Annual Miracle on Dock St.!

But before we dive into the results, a huge THANK YOU to the 26 incredible floats that participated. We couldn’t have pulled off such a fantastic event without the amazing support from our community. Your efforts made the night so special!

Also, a big shoutout to everyone who braved the chilly temperatures and came out to enjoy the festivities – your presence truly made the night magical!

There was so much creativity and hard work behind every float that we ended up with some exciting ties this year. Here are your winners:

🏆 1st Place – $1000
Wilsons Home Hardware Building Centre & Municipality of Shelburne
Each will receive $500!

As organizers of this event, the Municipality of Shelburne will be donating their winnings to a local charity decided upon by staff tomorrow.

🥈 2nd Place –$750 We have a 3-way tie!

Shelburne County Towing
Spencer's Garden Centre
Each will receive $250!

🥉 3rd Place – AC Belliveau Veinotte Inc
They’ll receive $250 as well!

People's Choice – Spencer's Garden Centre
They'll also receive $250!

✨ And a special Honourable Mention goes to Timmy Yee Gozansky for his wonderful float this year!!

A big thanks to the Shelburne & Area Chamber of Commerce for coming with hot chocolate and to those who brought donations for the food bank!!!

See you all tonight at Miracle on Dock St!!!

Tomorrow is the big day! Bundle up and take in all the hard work that the Shelburne Events Committee has put into this event as well as the work of all the participating floats!🎄🎅🤶❄️🎁🎉🌟🕯️⛄🦌🎄

The information booth will be located in front of Locke's Lifestyle, Sporting & Outdoor Adventure store so be sure to stop by there, get your paper for voting and grab a glow stick for the kids!

Here’s a sneak peek at all the fun:

🦌 Saturday Morning: The events committee has added a Reindeer Run at Islands Park beginning at 10am! Put on your best Christmas costume, get active, and don’t forget to bring a food bank donation or a toy for the Giving Tree! Thank you to the Shelburne & Area Chamber of Commerce for providing hot chocolate!

🎄 Saturday Evening: The main event – Miracle on Dock St. stationary parade begins at 5:30pm with a drive-thru experience for those with mobility issues. From 6:00–7:30pm, everyone can walk through and enjoy 🌟

🎅 Don’t forget to visit Santa at the Dory Shop from 6-7:30 and check out the Shelburne Guild Hall Market from 5–8pm. There’ll also be a holiday movie down by Santa and frost bubbles for the little ones! 🎥❄️ A special thank you to Bill’s A1 Pizza for supplying treat bags for all the kids there!

🎶 Carols Alert: The Hillcrest Academy Choir will be singing carols from 6–6:30pm in Whoville, plus look out for Grinch, Cindy Lou spreading Christmas cheer🎤 A shout out to The Property People for being at Whoville with treats for the kids!!!!

Don't forget an item for the food bank, drop off location will be the Town of Shelburne float!

There will be food available at The Emerald Light, The Beandock Coffee & Collectibles, The Ship's Galley Pub and Eatery as well as hot dogs at the Shelburne Guild Hall Market, treats from Maggie’s Gourmet Apples and hot chocolate from Roseway Hospital Staff!

🔥 Ending the night with a bang: Fireworks will light up the sky at 7:45pm to close out the festivities in style! 🎆

Miracle on Dock Street is happening this weekend, and it promises to be a magical event!

The Town of Shelburne will be collecting donations for our local food bank once again this year. You can drop off your contributions at the Town of Shelburne's float, located in front of the Loyalist Building.
