🤩 At the end of last week, I had the chance to see the prototype of a whole new type of immersive dome — the Mirage!

💡 Born from the imagination of a mechanical engineering team at the University of Sherbrooke, the concept is inspired by Japanese origami. It’s made of composite materials and 100% manufactured in Sherbrooke!

📐 The prototype is a 6-meter-diameter dome, but the concept can be applied to larger sizes. Can be installed with a reduce team, without heavy equipment, effortless!

🎥✨ At Nest Immersion, we love to experiment!

Today we tested a new type of material — a dome screen made entirely out of cardboard 🏗️🪶.
Surprisingly… the image quality isn’t bad at all! 😄

It’s amazing what can be achieved with a bit of creativity, curiosity, and recycled materials. ♻️
Always exploring new ways to make immersive experiences more accessible and sustainable. 🌍💡

We almost forgot to say Happy Octopus Day! Yes we also advocate for animal protection and the environment. They also look great in the dome.

Fun facts:
– Octopuses have nine brains (one for each arm, plus a central one).
– They can change color and texture in less than a second.
– And they dream — scientists believe they might even change colors while sleeping.

🎬✨ A Magical Morning at Nest Immersion!

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a bright and curious group of 4th and 5th grade students for an introduction to immersive cinema! 🌍🎥

They discovered how technology and creativity come together to transport us into new worlds — from panoramic projections to fulldome environment. The students asked amazing questions and even got to experience what it feels like to be inside the movie! 🙌

A big thank you to the teacher and students for their enthusiasm and sense of wonder. The future of storytelling is in good hands! 💡🎞️

Father-daughter puzzle time!

Each one has his own puzzle. For her: Lego, for me: the new cardboard dome design. A very affordable option for small studio or schools.
