Hey all! I’m very excited to announce that Kara Jane Events will be assisting in the organization and coordination of the 9th annual “Paul & Friends for the Kids” Hair Massacure! This is an amazing local fundraising event held at the Ardrossan Recreation Complex that supports the Terry Fox Profyle and Children’s Wish Foundation. Last year it had over 200 people in attendance! This is a great opportunity for advertisement of your local businesses and to come together as a community! Please let me know if you would be interested in donating a service or product as a door prize or silent auction item, or alternatively, a food item for the chili luncheon. Please also see this as your invitation! Tickets can be bought at the door for $20! Hope to see you there!

As I am new to the wedding industry I am always seeking opportunities for learning and growth. So thankful for the mentorship and advice I received from Sarah from this afternoon! (Also a great excuse to have an amazing brunch at restaurant- yum!) I am totally inspired by Sarah’s ambition and how she has built/ conducts her business. Hi all! I'd like to share a little more about myself! I am Kara, the "K" in A&K Events!

Some info about me, I am a registered nurse and have focused my career working with moms and babies over the last 6 years! I am a casual weekend worker and a full time mom during the week. My family consists of my 2 kids, Charlotte and Ben, my Husband Tyler, and our border collie fur baby named Cali.

I love to play soccer, hang out with my girlfriends for wine nights, coffee, coffee, and more coffee, and go on trips to the mountains as often as I can! I have always been a “go-getter” and ambitious type person and I like to set and reach big goals!

I have always loved the idea of Event Planning as a profession and usually I am the go to person with friends and family to plan parties or organize events. I am a Type A- organized- schedule making-planning machine. I love to do lists and pretty much all things planning related! It was a total match made in heaven when I met my equal in Type-A-ness Adrienne. We hit it off in a new mom's group with our first babies 2 years ago and have been great friends ever since and now business partners! We figured now or never to start this business adventure and we're both so excited to see where it takes us!

Oh hello! I just thought I would introduce myself! I’m Adrienne, the A in the A&K Events!

I am formally educated in Civil Engineering Technology and Medical Laboratory Technology, specializing in Phelobltemy. Neither of those jobs were fulfilling to me so I became a Wellness Guide for WW, which is what the young people call Weight Watchers, and am currently still working there when I’m not having babies!

I am the domestic engineer of my home and care for my two human babies (Mick & Frankie), two cats (Zdeno & Puddy), dog (Moose), and husband (Evan). I am the caregiver, chief, driver, and overall keeper of the things.

I love cats, coffee, books, heavy metal/classic rock, tattoos, and anything on TLC. I play classical piano and the air guitar. I am fluent in English and Sarcasm. I am loyal, strong, and empathetic.

Kara and I met when our first kids were only weeks old but we’ve managed to stay close through all the chaos of raising kids, being pregnant, and raising more kids. In the haze of the fourth trimester after our second kids were born, we realized we shared a dream of planning and organizing events. We decided if not now, when? And if not with each other, than who?

We didn’t let the cold weather put a damper on the celebrations Saturday! A&K Events suggested setting up this beautiful warm beverage table at the ceremony to help keep the guests toasty warm while they witnessed Katie & Tristan get married and it was a huge hit.
