👉🏼👉🏼 Wedding Burnout is a thing… and I don’t mean physical tiredness. Rather mental and emotional burnout.

Here are my top 5️⃣ Ways to avoid Burnout while Planning your wedding; regardless of the capacity with which you’ve hired us, we have resources to help with all of these tips!

1. Don’t forget to continue to date your partner. Seriously. It makes a difference when you continue to make the time for each other (now and after you’re married) to do non wedding related things together. Psst we have a list for you.
2. Self care is essential. This could mean different things to different people. Make sure you’re filling your cup with things that make you feel rejuvenated and happy.
3. Lists are your friend! And we have a bunch you’ll love to help maintain your timelines for vendor relationships, DIY projects and more.
4. When you hire us…. We help! Answer questions, talk through your ideas, negotiate contracts and more. But the catch is… you have to let us 😉
5. Your wedding = your way. Don’t let others opinions distract you from your dream wedding. It’s your day, we will execute it your way. ♥️

IF YOU ARE ATTENDING A WEDDING IN 2024...
HERE ARE 5 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO BE A GREAT GUEST

1️⃣ Show up on time! There is no “fashionably late” to a wedding. The ceremony is actually supposed to start on time! In fact, do me, the coordinator, a solid and get there 30 mins prior!
2️⃣ Pay attention to the dress code. Be sure to follow instructions on the invitation or website for what dress level or color scheme to follow. I swear to you the bride has stressed about this… just do it. Or don’t attend.
3️⃣ Do NOT wear white OR cream OR off white
OR white with print. Just don’t do it. (Unless the bride tells you to). Seriously…. Don’t.
4️⃣ Be respectful! Don’t complain. Don’t get sloppy drunk. Don’t be rude to the vendors working the wedding. We are there to serve the newlyweds. We are carrying out THEIR wishes.
5️⃣ Bring the ENERGY to the dance floor! Now is the time to give it your all and make the most of the night.

What your wedding planner (me) wants you to know:

▫️The last 30 days before your wedding are the most stressful- we have a special date night that will ease this stress for you. PLUS even with our Day of coordination packages we are already with you when you cross this milestone.
▫️There are no stupid questions when talking to your planner- seriously.
▫️ You hired your vendors for a reason...trust them
▫️ Trends come and go..do what YOU want‼️
▫️Having a journal to write random questions will ease your mind- we are in constant communication, as your planner or day of coordinator, we’ve got your back.
▫️ Make the marriage your priority
▫️ Compatibility with your wedding planner is key- this is important. You need to connect with and trust this person!
▫️Focus on your guests experience!
▫️Don’t sweat the small stuff.
▫️Micromanaging does not get the best out of us- let us do this. You’re the guest of honour, act like it 😘
▫️ Your wedding planner is on your side. Always. We are here to serve you.

The mix of colours and textures with this set up was a personal fave.
The deep greens and reds with gold and blush was complimentary in a way that screamed luxury. The candle sticks paired with floating candles was also a beautiful touch.

Let’s talk wedding planners and coordinators for a second …

So check this out. One thing we require before we draw up a contract is a zoom or in person meeting. Why? Because we need to make sure we VIBE! ✌🏼
Personalities need to mingle and connect, our services and their price points need to be properly explained and broken down (point form on the website hardly does our service list justice) AND we need to establish trust and comfort with you.

Other than your photographer and spouse to be, we are going to be chatting the most, with you the most on your day… all up in your business! It’s important we vibe, connect and trust. It’s super important you’re comfortable with your planner/ coordinator.

Why am I talking about this today? Because there are options. Does it sound egotistical to say we are one of the best? Yes… I mean we are… 🙃 but I digress. Just like you would interview photographers and caterers, do the same with coordinators and planners.

Interview a couple different coordinators and planners. Don’t just look at price. Look at what you’re being offered and listen to how you feel. I will be the first to admit, I’m not for everyone. Not everyone is ok with a blunt and bold personality, Starbucks and Wedding obsessed chick. And that’s ok!

Let’s talk about pricing of services for a second. Have you ever wondered why set up and take down fees are expensive? 🤨 This room took 5+ hours to set up with myself and at times two other people. It’s perfect. And it will be every time. I promise you that! I’ll also promise you I’m going to have a blast doing it. This is actually one of my fave parts about weddings. Bringing the design dream to life. Your professional vendors are going to charge you for their time. It’s not that we didn’t know what we were doing, or lack urgency. It’s that to create the look this couple wanted we needed to spend the time, and some of the decor that was wanted takes time- regardless of the vendor’s expertise or experience. Coming in hot on this beautiful Sunday with some budget friendly tips! 💸✨ • Small Guest Count: less than 100 people. • Sunday/Weekday Wedding: save on almost every vendor with it being a less popular day of the week. • No favors!: this is becoming more and more popular to skip. • Repurpose florals from ceremony: as your florist about rescuing arch or aisle florals on your head table, welcome table and more • Skip champagne, toast w/ sparking wine or juice… or any other drink. Get creative. • Have an off season wedding (Jan-Apr): vendors are actively looking for weddings out of “season” I promise you will find who you need (myself included) • Pick a venue w/lots of inclusions (tables, chairs, arches, fire pits etc.): this is going to make a HUGE difference in cost. • Choose a venue that matches your aesthetic: this helps with less costs of decor as stated above, but also it’s less “filler” you need to purchase to embody the vibe you’re wanting on your day.
