It's officially Spooky Month and our friends at O'Brien Farm have brought their haunted hike back! See below for details.

Hike the trails of O'Brien Farm and hear dark tales of our Irish-Newfoundland heritage.

Come check out our 1.5km haunted trail hike at O'Brien Farm! The guided tour through the farm's forests is of mild to moderate difficulty, with a steep incline at the very start, and will take about 50 minutes.

Small groups will leave from Thimble Cottage every 15 minutes. If you are having difficulty finding a slot to accommodate your large party just call us at 709-576-6882 and we can help with your booking!

About Danú

Hailing from Counties Waterford, Cork, Dublin and Donegal in Ireland, Danú is one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles of today. The band formed in 1995 as part of Ireland’s delegation to Lorient Inter-Celtic Festival in Brittany, France (an annual event that is the biggest gathering of Celtic nations in the world). Youth Folk! Thanks to the Year of the Arts, the Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Arts Society is very excited to offer a special opportunity for selected young folk musicians called "YRecord."

YRecord stands for Youth Record, and is open to participants aged 19 and under. Artists who are selected will have the opportunity to work in studio with the legendary Sandy Morris, where they will be able to record one or two demo songs that could then be used to help start their careers in music (applying for grants, festivals, etc.). Through this experience, participants will be working with one of the music industry's finest, while learning the ins and outs of recording a song and exploring the many reasons WHY we record.
