Oh hey there. I’m Leah. 👋🏻✨

With many new faces around here - including almost 40 new brides for this upcoming season - I thought an updated introduction was in order.

I always dreamed of my own wedding day as an ode to nature, filled up to the brim with delicate and whimsy floral - but alas as a Newfoundland bride, I found it challenging to source real and garden-inspired flowers. So I created a place where other members of the wedding community have CHOICE - the choice to have real flowers.

I named this little haven of mine after my mother, a true lover of creating, imagining and forget-not nots. Her ability to find pockets of joy in the smallest of things was unyielding and if I can provide even a morsel of that joy on someone’s happiest day - I think she’d be proud 🥹

My floristry specializes in the real, the wild, and the garden-inspired - with bouquets the blow in the wind, pieces that exude movement, and blooms that aren’t afraid to be showstoppers - oh and I LOVE me some colour 🌸🎀🪻☀️

Here is to my third full wedding season - may it be the best one yet 🫶🏻

As I dust off the old floral scissors and prepare to dive headfirst into my third wedding season, I thought I’d share what I’m prioritizing as your florist in 2025 ✂️🧹🌸

🪻Use of local blooms

When I first started this journey I struggled to even find a wholesale supplier that would take me on knowing I only worked with floral half the year. Though I’ll always need to ship certain florals (thank-you NL weather 🌦️), so many hardworking floral farmers are right here with the prettiest hand cut blooms you ever did see. Use of local blooms also cuts down on costs, my environmental impact, and opens the door to use blooms that would otherwise wilt when shipped.

🌻 Flexibility with floral proposals

I used to be terrified of brides not liking their bouquets because I didn’t use an extremely specific flower in an extremely specific colour - consequently putting so much pressure on myself to be absolutely perfect and allowing no wiggle room. Taking a step back I realized that my clients choose me for ME. Not because they are guaranteed perfection or are pigeonholing me into a florist that I’m not. I LOVE using the florals available to me and exercising my creative freedom knowing I’m not in charge of perfection but just a piece of someone’s joy on their wedding day.

🌷Building a floral-loving community

I want my clients to walk away from their weddings knowing I was their fellow floral obsessed friend that had the privilege of playing with flowers all day so I could positively impact THIER day. My hope is that people are inspired to get their neighbour, mother, hairdresser etc. flowers just because or plant a garden of seasonal flowers to watch them bloom or memorialize their flowers in art so my art can continually bring them joy.

Your flowers are so much more to me than a vendor ticked off your never ending list of to-do’s. Let’s do this 2025.

I’ve gotten a lot of questions on the booking process so here it is:

🌸 Submit an inquiry via my website (linked in bio) though I do frequently check my DM’s, they can often go missed and a formal inquiry is the quickest way for me to ensure I’m available on your requested date.

🌸Once I’ve reached back out and have acknowledged your inquiry within 24-48 hours - I need to see LOTS of inspiration pictures to gauge your vibes, colour scheme and quote you most accurately. Big fan of a Pintrest board 💐📌 There is a huge difference in price depending on specific flowers requested or pictured. For example most roses are $2-$3/stem but a garden rose can be closer to $10/stem.

🌸After I quote you I require a 30% deposit of the total initial quoted cost and a signed contract in order to book - most of the time I can accommodate add-ons for your wedding date so if you are unsure how many bridesmaid bouquets etc. you need we can always adjust that up to a month prior to your wedding.

🌸 That’s it! You are all booked in. I reach back out to confirm all final details and send along your final floral design proposal approx. 4-5 weeks to wedding day before you make your final payment.

Lets talk bridesmaid bouquets 🎀💐🕊️

I think out of all of the florals I offer for wedding day these babies are what causes the most grief for my clients. And I get it. There is SOO many options, sizes, styles and prices. A LOT of people feel torn on the decision to bouquet or not to bouquet for the bridesmaids but there is ALWAYS options. Here are some of them:

1) Single stem bunch bridesmaid bouquets: I will continually be OBSESSED with this tread with it being the most cost-effective option and allows each flower to really shine on wedding day.

2) Bridesmaid bouquets matching the colour of the bridesmaid dress: Monochromatic is here to stay baby and what better way to embrace it then with bridesmaid bouquets.

3) Petit style bridesmaid bouquets: These little loves have such a special place for me. This is the best option if you are looking for the same flowers from your own bouquet but on a smaller/daintier side.

4) Medium sized bridesmaid bouquets: Just like the name suggests these bouquets are about 1/3-1/2 the size of your bridal bouquet with the same flowers and the most expensive option.

At the end of the day I WANT every client to focus on what matters most for their own bouquets THEN think about their mates but I love that everyone has options no matter your role on wedding day 🌸🪻
