We were honoured to be finalists in the Canadian Flowers Week Competition! And we would like to congratulate the winner and thank for hosting this completion!

We had such a great time with our wild flower meadow miniature fairy village that we decided to remake the fairy village in our store windows - version 2! While the first version featured fresh local flowers, our south facing windows make it hard keeping fresh flowers looking fresh, so version 2 featured less flowers, more plants, and all those fabulous miniatures. Our new window displays will be around for awhile. We do hope to will drop by and enjoy it!

It is Canadian Flowers Week and we are ready to celebrate!

Today is the day we started our installation for the Canadian Flowers Week Contest! We hope you will follow along with us on this journey and even vote on our submission once it gets entered.

If you will remember, last year we finished in the top 4 Canada wide. This year, we have bigger plans and are doing a much bigger installation. We hope you will come check it out for yourself in person or follow along with our journey to celebrate Canadian Flowers on social media!

We started and finished installation of the fairy village in our store windows! Come and check out the windows - drop a comment about the window or Canadian flowers to win a beautiful Canadian Flowers flower bouquet!

Canadian Flowers Week is here and it is a most awesome week to celebrate Canadian flowers!

Just like last year, we are starting our celebration with a full sized window installation celebrating local flowers as a contest entry for the contest! (Last year we came in 4th overall across the country and we are hoping to do at least as well again this year).

The install starts this morning in the store windows at 147 Queen St. E and will be in place at least until the weekend. The flowers are freshly harvested from The Garden In Harrington and Jayne Fuller (Jayne Fuller Photography) is taking photos for us!

And then- drop on by, check out the window, and add a comment in our comment box for your chance to win your very own gorgeously Canadian flower bouquet! Winner will be awarded Monday, August 25th!

Why is The Flower Shop posting a photo of a fairy house?

Canadian Flowers Week is next week and we are going to celebrate! Remember last year when we did that fun little flower quilt installation in our store window?

This year, we are building ourselves a fun fairy village in our front windows! This will be such fun - and we are hoping you will help us out! Drop by The Flower Shop THIS FRIDAY, August 15th from 12-5pm to make a fairy house for our installation. We’ll have the supplies- you bring the imagination! There is no cost, and we will be grateful for the help and support as we enter our installation in the country wide contest again this year.

Funday Friday at the St. Marys Library! We had such a great time turning pressed flowers into Disney art masterpieces for last week’s Disney week at the library. Such a fun way to spend time on a Friday afternoon!

Aren’t these locally grown blooms and stems spectacular?

We are so pleased to have such gorgeous, freshly harvested, grown-right-here blooms and greens available for you- sourced from farms within 20km of our shop!

And fresh eucalyptus too!
