Recently, did some passed hors d'oeuvre for a wedding in . It was fun to mix it up from the usual plated dinners we more commonly do.
Have you ever fried rice noodles? They turn out super fun and crunchy.
Shout out to for some beautiful skirt steaks! Always great product from that farm.
The last photo doesn't have the best lighting, but I'm a sucker for mac and cheese!

A connection to the land is very important to me. We went out and harvested wild grapes on a friend's property and feral apples down the road. I have been slowly finding spaces for wild foods as I find nature's abundance around us. It gives me a greater fondness for the place I live.

The abundance of summer feels magical sometimes. It also inspires in the kitchen. I was so happy to get some end of season organic blueberries. The currants shine like jewels when the sun hits them. Surplus chantrelles from a friend? Yes please!

Stirling Kitchen recently had the pleasure of cooking an entire vegan menu for some lovely folks at a friendly get-together. The house we were cooking at had a banana tree and a pineapple growing inside!
The owner of the house was kind enough to promise us some bananas from the upcoming harvest. This could change the mindset of local Ontario cuisine for an upcoming dinner!

These pictures are from about a month ago. The dog (Pepper) and I went to find some wild garlic/ramps on our neighbors property. It's so rewarding to forage. It helps me feel more connected to the land.
The green tops were processed into a pesto and frozen for later. The bulbs have been going into stir fry, braised oxtail and more!

I'm SUPER excited!
We will have peaches 🍑 from our own trees for the first time! We had to remove young peaches from the tree to allow space for the others to grow! There were about 8 liters of immature peaches removed.
We have 2 different varieties, and I have been dreaming about this moment for YEARS!
Does anyone have any peach recipes I should try out?
