Meet Jackie ! We had the pleasure to help her in her fight against hunger in our community because of your donations Saturday. 🤗
She started this journey approximately 5 years ago and has served over 8452 people through their outreaches , event emergency and crisis responses this year alone. She currently is undergoing a transformation in their space. Her vision is much beyond just helping feed our community , it is about offering support, a safe place for people to gather, feel welcomed and help meet their basic needs to live comfortably.

You can follow their page and keep updated on their events and bagged lunch program for children!

We paid a visit to Parkland Food Bank this morning to learn a little more and it is because of donations like yours they are able to continue to serve our community with such a crucial service.
Did you know 👀
🎅🏻They will serve 1268 families in the month of December in our area
🎅🏻This equates to $375k of groceries for the month of Dec alone
🎅🏻Due to the increase in the cost of living they have seen a 20% increase in their services and more working families access their service than prior years
🎅🏻Consequently due to inflation donations have also been down by about 15% as everyone is feeling the rising cost of living
🎅🏻However even with the increase and decline in donations they are still able to put food on everyone’s table that requires access everyday !

✨We appreciate your generosity so much to anyone that visited us Stony Plain Lane or will throughout this season. We continue to have drop boxes for the remainder of the season and can’t thank you enough for contributing to a great cause ✨

Come say 👋 to our friends from Dentistry On Fifth tonight between 5-8pm tonight ! 🎅🏻🏒🎅🏻

WILL WE SEE YOU TONIGHT?! Come join us for an evening of fun, enjoying treats and beautiful Christmas lights in our lovely community while supporting a wonderful cause! All booths will be accepting donations to the Parkland Food Bank!

We will have a booth at Stony Plain Lane TODAY from 5-8pm! You will be able to find us at the intersection of Graybrair Drive and Graybriar Crescent, which can be accessed from Vetrans Boulevard!

Come say hi and get your hands on some treats, a mini hockey stick, and one of our winter colouring contest sheets!

We're ready to gooooo! We can't wait to see you all on December 9th to show off all the lights. Santa and The Grinch will be on site, so make sure to stop by and say hello! Don't forget to bring your non-perishable food donations for the Parkland Food Bank Society - bins will be available on site and cash donations are accepted as well.
