It was a magical weekend for our family. Our daughter married her best friend and we just love our son in law. 💕

Kaitlin and Anthony wanted a bright, vibrant, fun and a touch of retro for their special day and I was honoured to design the flowers.

I loved how happy and summery it all felt. The ceremony and reception were filled with so many touching elements that Kaitlin planned out. Kaitlin asked myself and her Dad to walk her down the aisle and it was so love filled and so so special. She walked down the aisle to “Can you feel the love tonight” which was chosen because it’s fitting and more importantly Lion King is Anthony’s favourite movie. 💕

Kaitlin chose her sister to be her Maid of Honour and to watch the love between them, the support they give each other and to hear the beautiful words shared throughout the day. Wow, I am so blessed I get to be their Mama.

Our family grew this weekend not just with Anthony, who has already been a part of our family for years but also grew with his whole family as well. Our family love has grown immensely and we are so grateful how amazing this beautiful journey of life is.

They are now enjoying a week in California. Disney, Baseball, Pool time and Sun. We love you Mr. and Mrs. Aiello aiello

African Violets! So pretty and so classic. These are one of the most popular houseplants. Available in so many colours. These beauties can bloom repeatedly all year and are quite easy to care for as long as you play by their rules.

☀️ They like bright light but never direct sun. A perfect spot is a North or East window area. Keep at least 12-18” away from the glass.

💧Make sure you don’t over water. They like well draining soil that is damp but not wet. Let them dry a little before watering. Bottom watering is preferred. African violets do not like water on their leaves. Use room temp water.

It’s the May Long Weekend! Cloverdale will be a buzzing with all things Rodeo. Come say Hi if you’re staying in town!! We will be CLOSED on Monday but open regular hours all other days.

Saturday Morning Parade will make it a little difficult to park so please be aware. The Cloverdale Rodeo Parade starts at 10am precisely at the corner of 177B St and Highway #10 and heads west on Hwy #10 to 176 Street. Please note that road closure for the parade will be in effect by 9:30am and access to the Town Centre can only be made on foot. The parade then heads north to 58A Ave and turns east to 176A St where it turns north and heads to 60th Ave. On the final leg of the parade, it heads east by Elements Casino/south end of the Fairgrounds and heads south on 177B St where it finishes at 58 Ave.

It’s been a few days since Mother’s Day (sorry but still recovering) I wanted to post a huge Thank you for all of your unbelievable support!! 💗💗💗💗

We were so busy, exceeded expectations and preparations. I’m am so grateful for how so many of you trust us to design for your Mamas and special people in your life. It is an honour that is hard to express. Each bouquet is very important and a lot of love gets put into every single one of them.

To prepare for Mother’s Day takes weeks- months. Supply ordering and organization plus the volume of flowers we process in a one week period is about 8-9 x our regular weeks. It is a bit of a guessing game as well. When I ordered this year I considered that our business has grown over last year but I was concerned that we all don’t have as much disposable income as we have had in previous years. So I calculated only a 10% increase of flowers to purchase. Well…. that was a massive under estimate. I needed to secure an extra large order on Friday for more flowers from the Wholesaler and then another order on Saturday evening from a different wholesaler to make sure we had enough product to fill all of the orders. The only thing that stopped us this year was actual time that the 5 of us had to physically design and build all the orders.

My talented and amazing team that makes Thrive is the best thing about us. 💗 The entire team works so hard and I am so blessed to have them helping me make this dream come alive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Alexa, Emily, Kailey and Marny (Mom). Your talent and work ethic is impressive and so valued. My good friends Kevin and Joanna helped so much as well, behind the scene necessities that made it all get done. Box making, supply organizing and delivering our orders. I also want to shout out my husband and best friend! none of this could happen without his support and help. Dave was there all weekend to be that extra body and do all things so we could all keep designing. Also mental support for me 🥰❤️

The gorgeous Ficus Elastica Tineke! Such a pretty plant to add to your home 💕

These plants are relatively low-maintenance• ideal if you’re a beginner.

Here are the main care requirements for growing a ficus Tineke:

☀️ Place it in bright, indirect light and away from strong, harsh sunlight.

💧Plant it in well-draining potting mix, preferably a slightly acidic cactus mix.
Water when the top inches of soil feel dry to the touch. Moisture Meter 4 is ideal.

🚫🐾 This plant is toxic. Sap can cause skin irritation, vomiting and diarrhea if ingested.

• Fertilize it lightly every few weeks (Organic Thrive plant vitamins are amazing)
