I run a registered nonprofit rescue org called Arf Arf Bark Bark Rescue Foundation. We specifically intake predatory and extremely dangerous Great Danes (located in Vancouver, Canada).

I'm currently looking to personally adopt a very, very specific level of dog into my rescue foundation; extremely dangerous or predatory Great Dane. Age, intact is not a problem

Dysfunctions such as extreme guarding of food, toys, territory and issues such as attacking other dogs and humans is all good, too. Prey drive is predation and totally cool if the Dane is like that or worse.

I prefer a Great Dane that has at least 6 -12 attacks (not bites). Attempt(s) to kill a human is preferred. 150 pounds or heavier. 35" withers or taller preferred but not critical. I will sign full liability waiver. The family, surrenderer or rescue will need to arrange transport to me.

More info on the type of Great Dane that I'm searching for in the link below that I'm looking to adopt. This will be my 11th predatory/extremely dangerous Dane (I will be looking for my 12th in about 2 - 3 months thereafter):

https://www.facebook.com/TheSoulOfaDog/posts/pfbid0MTDyciraRDStCZNuPtqLeLsSJt3PurCRdu8Kgk4gwQi47s6gbJwDWb3hw2P3oi6Jl

I don't use treats, medication, shock/e/prong/choke collars, no brute force nor alpha, positive, R+ nor LIMA. All dogs live inside my home, eat raw and are free range. They are socially integrated and learn to eat together. So the Great Dane that I'm looking for will live out their natural life rehabilitated and happy. I do not kill ever.

Please let me know if you have or hear of anyone that is surrendering a Great Dane as such. They can contact my through messenger or email me [email protected]

I've added photos of predatory and extremely dangerous Great Danes that I've downtrained, rehabilitated and stabilized. I've included coverage in major newspapers and media for veracity.

I do realize that most often this level and size of dogs are killed quickly but there are also families that have such a Great Dane that may be right now looking for someone, anyone to please save their beloved dog's life. We are the rescue that does so (depending on space).

After this Great Dane, I will then be looking to intake another one about two months thereafter.

Look at this that just came into law today! I wrote my comment:

Then the recognition of animals as functional sentient beings to be afforded limited legal rights. Which, if surviving any legal tests means that any dog or cat or animal is now subject to being prevented from being killed (by a vet or at an animal shelter or for negative behavior). This is a specious perspective until law is tested, unfortunately...further, it will require an intelligent individual to contextualize such when, not if, it is challenged at the Supreme Court of Canada eventually.

Whether my province has individuals intelligent enough to handle this legal complexity is very, very unlikely.

The B.C. government has announced major changes in how pet custody will be handled during divorces and separations.Subscribe to CTV News to watch more videos...

Remember that it's ILLEGAL to allow dogs to be in the bed of a pick up truck. As well, it's very unsafe and an estimated 100,000 dogs are killed by this.

"Any sudden start, stop, or turn could potentially toss your dog onto the highway where it can get hit by oncoming traffic – an estimated 100,000 dogs die this way each year. Open truck beds provide no protection from the weather. The hot sun can heat the metal floor of a truck bed enough to burn a dog's paw pads"

Summer's Coming ⚠

REMEMBER it's AGAINST THE LAW in most states and provinces for a dog to ride in the bed of a pick-up truck.

CALL 911
Take a clear photo of the dog and licence plate in case something happens.

The dog can jump out while you're driving. If the truck hits a bump or swerves, your dog could fall out and be hit by another car and killed.

Please tell your friends.

An estimated 110,000 dogs are killed annually. This figure does not include dogs that are injured and survive.

Thank you Modern Dog Magazine with featuring an article about my unique downtraining methods with dysfunctional and predatorial dogs. My work will appear in their Winter 2021 issue.

Thank you to Editor-In-Chief Jennifer Nosek and journalist Darcy Matheson for believing in my work.

I want to say thank you to Virginia, Gerry and Linda for being successive integral catalysts.

Thank you to Elaine Dixon, founder of 'New Hope For Danes', the oldest Great Dane Rescue organization in Canada. She has saved the lives of over 5000 Great Danes/mixes since 1982.

Elaine believed in me from day one. She encouraged me to follow my destiny. When so many didn't six years ago. When I was getting kicked out of almost every reactive/training group and many Great Dane and dog groups.

I started my own group to allow for no-kill discussions about parents with dysfunctional dogs:

I'm in discussions with a publisher who has had several authors on the USA Today Wall Street Journal and Amazon Books best sellers lists.

This will be my first book on my unique comprehension of dog behavior and downtraining by the end of 2022.

Working title is
'The Soul Of A Dog'

I hope to have my own reality series within two years of my book.

The humane, intuitive uniqueness of my Parenting Protocols never needs treats, medication, prong/e-collar, alpha, etc...

I am thankful to God for sharing His gift with me. September 2 is four years since I was baptized. My faith is my personal path.

I wrote this to Jennifer when asked if they could write a feature article for Modern Dog:

"It is humbling, to be honest. I feared my profound work may have followed the path of Ignaz Semmelweis.

"...a Hungarian physician and scientist, now known as an early pioneer of antiseptic procedures [...] Semmelweis's observations conflicted with the established scientific and medical opinions of the time and his ideas were rejected by the medical community. He could offer no acceptable scientific explanation for his findings, and some doctors were offended at the suggestion that they should wash their hands and mocked him for it."

Safety Reminder: Leaving Your Dog's Collar On When You Kennel Them?

Safety Reminder: Leaving Your Dog's Collar On When You Kennel Them?

Safety tip ❀️ please share to save a dog's life.

For anyone that crates their dog, always remove their collar. Regardless of type.

*This following description may be difficult for some people to read but it is to emotionally impress upon you how tragic the outcome can be.

https://vm.tiktok.com/JeAPoNn/

Dogs can get their collars caught on the metal grates of a kennel door (I do not crate any of my Danes nor dogs in my Rescue, regardless of level of dysfunction).

Once the collar is caught, the dog will panic in fear and start twisting their body, further tightening their collar.

Once the dog has twisted the collar into a self-strangulation, the dog will slowly die an extremely painful death.

Not just from the pain of the ligature cutting into their throat, the dog (as would anyone) is still alive and fully conscious...while the dog's body suffocates to death.

The dog's brain is still processing the fear as they slowly die.

It is a horrific and extremely painful death that lasts approximately 3 minutes.

***this can also happen if your dog's license tag gets caught in the slotted crevices of a porch deck***
