My students obviously know I like living plants. Here are a couple more sweet ones I was gifted at year end. Happy summer break everyone! I am really looking forward to teaching only 2 days a week this month!

April has just moved on to continue her piano studies closer to home, and with a senior level teacher. The results are finally out from the Steinway Tom Lee competition in May though. Here's a picture of her sporting her GOLD medal! Congratulations April! We'll certainly miss your wonderful playing at future Studio Recitals! Keep us posted with your achievements...
A short and sweet little duet for you from my last student yesterday... Thank you Spencer. Well done!
O Come, O Come Emmanuel - an Advent hymn arranged by Lisa Donovan Lukas. (Any less than lovely notes are my finger slips, not her arrangement.)
Happy Sunday!
Such sensitive playing by a beginner. Keep it up Aanvi!
Bittersweet by Rick Robertson
I haven’t posted in awhile. This piece by Rick seemed to go with our overcast skies here. Bittersweet because while it’s a bit gloomy here I am very grateful to live here, especially given all that’s happening around the world right now.
(Sorry it’s not more polished Rick. I still get nervous even after all these years of playing. And the bifocals don’t help!)
Rested - score composed by Wendy Stevens
A little minute of music because the title says exactly how I feel on this gorgeous day!
A sweet little Valse Melancholique I discovered this morning by Christopher Fisher of Piano Safari... in between students so I thought you might enjoy it too.
O Come O Come Emmanuel (arr. Mark Hayes)
I felt like playing this earlier this evening: O Come O Come Emmanuel arranged by Mark Hayes. It’s been an unusual year, and hopefully we have mostly come through it stronger. Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!
Amazing Grace arranged by Travis Lohman
Not a Christmas carol but what I felt like playing today to share. It has take a lot of grace and perseverance for the world to get through 2020, and we’re almost there. I am feeling grateful today... This is a simple intermediate level version purchased to use with students but it’s my favourite arrangement at the moment. Enjoy!
